Die Unterkunft

Our condo is elegantly furnished with a modern theme. All furnishing are in excellent condition.
KITCHEN: The kitchen is well-equipped for your convenience. We have a small espresso machine and a drip coffee machine as well as an electric kettle for your hot beverages. There was a wine cooler fridge, as well as a regular refrigerator.
BATHROOM: The bathroom has a hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner as well as liquid body and hand soap. In a closet, in the bathroom is a stacked washer and dryer. We try to maintain a supply of laundry powder but in some cases you may have to purchase these. Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Pets must be completely house-trained non barkers. A pet fee of $35 per night will be charged on Pay Pal after the reservation is made.

We code a lock-box with the last four digits of your phone number, so that each booking is secure. You are required to put the keys back into the box upon your departure. Failure to do so, so they are ready for the next guest will mean a $100 charge for key replacements.

Our condo is very close to the Lake. Incline Beach is a short walk 0.2 miles. We can provide passes that can be used to get you onto any of the three private Incline Beaches. With these passes you pay a small daily fee to gain access when the beaches are closed to the public in Spring and Summer.
LONE EAGLE GRILLE at the Hyatt: We are about 0.4 miles to the Lone Eagle Grille, this is the closets restaurant with Lake Views and access. A great place for a glass of wine, bar snacks or a special dinner.

Verkehrsmittel

There are shuttles to local ski resorts. Just pick the resort you wish to ski at and then shuttle information. The local bus service is called TART (Tahoe Area Rapid Transport.)

In summer, we provide a small cart with cooler bag, wine glasses, (actually high-grade plastic wine glasses) for taking to the lake beaches, beach towels and beach chairs. In some cases we will accept pets, they must be small well-trained pets. There is a $35 per day pet fee with a $200 per week charge. This fee is paid directly to the owners and so does not incur additional Airbnb surcharges. In order to set-up this payment, we will need to communicate with your via your personal email or phone. The hot tub and sauna are shared but we are surprised to find ourselves in them all alone, a lot of the time.

NO SHOES: No shoes in the house keeps everything nice and clean and protects our floors.

GARAGE: You are welcome to use our garage to park in but beware over-sized vehicles and vehicles with boxes on the roof rack will not fit in the garage.
Arrival and Departure Times:
We have set arrival time at 3 pm and departure time at 11am. This is one hour later and one hour earlier than many rentals, so you get maximum flexibility and time at the rental. It is important that you follow our instructions and help out process laundry in order to make this work. Thank you

Getting Here:
Most people use mapping these days to find places, but here are some brief tips to help you. If arriving from the west on Hwy 28 also know as Tahoe Blvd you will make a right-hand turn onto Village Blvd. The entrance is about 4/10th of a mile down this road. There are two entrances signed 144, take the second on the left with the #95 in the sequence. It is the entrance nearer the lake.

Parking and Unloading:
It is best to park in the open parking next to the street and then walk in to find the condo and retrieve the key. Alternatively in poor weather if you want to park closer to the condo entrance for unloading etc. please note the parking restriction signs. There is no parking in front of garages, near fire-hydrants, and in the round-about area for more than few minutes.

Arrival Tips and Procedures:

The lock box in which you will find a key is located on the door handle of the condo. Number (95 is on the second floor.) Slide down the black cover to change the number tumblers. You have been assigned a four digit code based on the last 4 numbers of your phone number. Rotate the numbers until your code is shown. Hold down the small black latch on the left-side of the box front and pull down/open the lock box cover. Inside you will find a front door key. Any problems with the lock box call the housekeeper: Lulu .
Please remove all shoes before proceeding into the house. There is a shoe/boot tray in the entry. There is also an entry closet for your coats and jackets.
The garage is unlocked if you wish to use it, but please note over-sized vehicles or vehicles with anything on the roof will not fit in the garage and will damage your car and the garage should you try to park inside. You will find a parking pass in the kitchen inside the cupboard next to the fridge.
The heating will have been set to 68 for your arrival. There is only one thermostat for the condo.
The key for the hot-tub and the parking pass are hung inside the cupboard next to the fridge. Make sure to hand the parking pass so that it is visible otherwise you will be towed at your expensive and we would not want that! :-(

Departure Tips and Procedures:
The night before you leave, if you have used the robes please wash and dry them. Also wash and dry the hot-tub towels towels. The current washer and dryer are small and slow, they will be replaced in the near future, but at this point make small loads and expect the dryer to be painfully slow to dry! :-(
On the morning of your departure put the clean, put dry robes back in the closet, strip the bed of the sheets and pillowcases but not the blanket and duvet cover. Housekeeping will process these if necessary. Now wash the sheets and pillow case and place in the dryer before you leave. Thank you so much for helping us with this. It allows us to have the minimum of time between back-to-back rentals. It also gives you the possibility of more time at the condo.
If you have time, also put the kitchen towels and hot tub towels, in the washer before you leave. Thanks again for your help with this.
Place all dishes used in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher.
Heating turn the thermostat down to 60.
Make sure the hot tub keys, and the parking pass are in the cupboard where you found them.
Make sure the patio door and the interior door to the garage are locked. Lock the from door and place the key back in the door knob lock box as you leave. You MUST leave the Parking Pass and Hot Tub keys, otherwise we will charge you $100 and $35 respectively for replacement.

Fireplace:
In winter we supply a couple artificial “clean burn” logs for you. If you run our more are available at Raleys. Please purchase “clean-burn” and help protect the Lake Tahoe air. Thank you. Please make sure the damper is open when you use the fireplace. The damper is operated by the level on the outside of the top of the metal surround on the fireplace behind the spark mess.

TV and Internet:
TV is through Charter. There is On-Demand and also recording of programs available. See pages 22 and 23 of the Charter Spectrum User Guide on the round side table.

Heating: The heating is baseboard hydronic. Before your arrival the temperature will be set at 68 for your arrival. For those of you whosoever to sleep in a cooler temp we recommend turning down to 64. The system is responsive and upon rising if you raise the temperature back to 68 you'll find the ambient temperature will rise quickly.
Kitchen:
The kitchen is small and wonderfully efficient. We hope you enjoy preparing your meals in it.

Electric Range: Glass ceramic Top: The glass top cooking ranch needs special care. Please be sure to carefully select the correct size heat for the pan you are using. Should you have a spill please use the cleaner we supply. Using it will prevent damage to the ceramic glass top.

OVEN: When using the oven please note it is spotlessly clean with no damage to the bottom. Please help us keep this like this by using a baking tray under any thing you baking in the oven. You will find these in the lower oven drawer.
Dining table: There are table mats in the first lower cabinet in the kitchen and cutlery in the first drawer in the kitchen. Please use the mats to protect the table.
The candle in the center of the dining table is not real and on a timer. It comes on for 5 hours at the same time each night.

Fan over Dining Table: This fan “wobbles” at high speed. It has been checked and correctly anchored but and we suggest you only use it at lower speeds.

Candles: For safety we do allow “real” candles in the condo. We do supply the battery operated candles. There is one on the dining table; one on the mantle both these have timers and come on each night for 5 hours. The two small candles on the coffee table are turned on and off using a switch on the bottom. Enjoy!

Bedroom:
The bed has a down comforter. If you wish a non-allergenic duvet, there is one in the closet in the grey bag. Please switch the duvet back when you leave. Thank you.

Patio BBQ:
The BBQ is tank propane. If the tank runs out during your visit or is empty uponarrival, can be filled at the 76 station in the Village.

The condo has an amazing location just steps from the water. It's exactly as described and the kitchen has all new appliances. It's a perfect location to explore all that Tahoe has to offer. Lynn and Steve also provided detailed guides and recommendations, even on places we could take our dogs! Their care and thoughtfulness was much appreciated. We'd love to stay here again!

Great place away from the hustle of the ski villages. Easy to get anywhere on the lake in under an hour. Smaller home town feel with plenty of good food & the best deal "Incline village ski rental" Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

After 20 years in the San Fransciso Bay Area, we moved to Lake Tahoe for a simpler life and frankly for the skiing. However what we learned was Tahoe is a superb place to be year-round. For hiking, skiing and lake activities like boating and sail boarding or just sitting on a lake-side beach the area never disappoints. Life at The Lake is simply put Better! We hope it will be for you too!
