The apartment is ideally situated outside the congested Old City and Nimmanhemin Road areas, so that you can come and go without having to contend with the ever-present traffic jams in those areas. Yet, it is just an 8-minute drive or 20 minute walk to Chiang Mai's busiest and most elegant tourist neighborhood. A motor-scooter or other vehicle is available upon request. New salt-water pool.
Apartment #2, 78 sq m (840 sq ft), consists of 2 bedrooms (one with fan, one air conditioned), a living room, a modern hot-water bathroom and a large Western-style eat-in kitchen with fridge, induction cook top, microwave and oven. Included are a 30-inch TV with 180 channels, in-room safe, and free WIFI. The property perimeter is secured by CCTV. The apartment faces a carport which is tastefully furnished with tropical plants and an aquarium with fountain. The entire space has been newly reconditioned to as-new condition. There is a delightful new (August 2016) salt-water swimming pool on the premises, available free of charge, for all guests. There is an off-premises gym available to guests for a fee of 65 Thai baht per visit.

Guests have their own keys to the apartment, which is accessible at all times without limitation. In addition to the apartment, which is for the exclusive use of the guests, there is a carport and rooftop deck, both of which are occasionally shared by guests of one other apartment. The deck is outfitted with a canopy, electrical and water outlets and sink. From the deck, there are lovely neighborhood views and of Chiang Mai's guardian mountain -- Doi Suthep.

Your host, Kiwi, natively speaks Thai and Lanna languages (of course), fluent English, and has a working knowledge of Japanese. He lives just a 10 minute drive away, and is available 24/7 for assistance. Kiwi will meet you at the airport or train or bus station, accompany you to the apartment, and see that you are comfortably settled, and provide you with maps of of the neighborhood and of the City. If you wish, he will give you a one-hour tour of the neighborhood, and answer any questions you may have. Kiwi will usually be present around the premises for an hour or two each morning and again in the evening for any assistance that you may require, but, but will not intrude upon your enjoyment of your stay in Chiang Mai.

There is a vacant parcel of land adjacent to the apartment, which is available for off-street parking (or for just digging in the dirt, if that is your desire).
For your added security and peace of mind, there is a complete closed circuit television (CCTV) system, operating round-the-clock seven days per week, monitoring the entire perimeter of the property.
AIRPORT/TERMINAL PICK-UP AND DELIVERY. Please note that the one-time Cleaning Fee includes pick-up at the beginning of your stay and delivery back to the airport at the end.
DISTURBING OTHER GUESTS. Smoking is allowed in outside areas only. The apartment is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, so guests must conduct themselves so as not to disturb the peace. But please note that the apartment is essentially sound-proof, and any noisy activities can be conducted inside without disturbing the guests of the other apartment or residents of the neighborhood. Guests may use the rooftop deck for evening gatherings of up to 10 people. Smoking permissible outside and on rooftop deck. Pets are not permitted.
HOUSEKEEPING. Normally, guests will do their own housekeeping; there is a washing machine and essential cleaning materials in each apartment; a vacuum cleaner is available upon request. Assisting with housekeeping is available upon request, free of charge.
CONSERVATION. Guests are urgently requested to turn off air conditioners and all other electrical appliances in each individual room when that room is unoccupied.
