This unique home has plenty of space for our guests. You will have your own entrance, kitchen, living area and bed and bath. The area was made as an
in-law suite originally. You can look out your windows and not see any other homes but you will see mules/horse/pigs and some chickens (and occasionally a rooster may be heard) If more space is needed for additional people, arrangements may be made. The walls of the bedroom are slanted and contain a door on the slant. The house was built on the contours of the hill. The living area continues the slanted ceiling.
Zugang für Gäste
Guests can park in front of the house, walk around the left side and into the living space. We will set the lock for your personal code so you can come and go as you please. No need to lock your car out here (but you can). Unless we are home, the rest of the home should not be entered.

We are both veterinarians, so many animals around. We both work outside of the home but are home most evenings. We can be contacted by phone and are happy to tell you about the area and help you find the things that interest you. As little or as much as you'd like. Our back porch is 60 ft long and covered. Great for eating outside and watching the wildlife. We have a grill you can use. And we love meeting new people and hearing about your adventures and recommendations.

If you plan to bring a pet, I will need to see the rabies certificate and know what type of flea and tick prevention you are using. The yard is not fenced, so leash walking and please pick up any waste. I do have an extra crate if you don't want to bring one.
There are two dogs in our home. Please do not enter the pasture unless we are around, loose horses do not make the neighbors happy. Please ask before using the grill and/or the hot tub.
Because we are on a septic system, it is imperative that nothing is placed into the toilet EXCEPT toilet paper, please abide by this rule. The house has a water filter but the water is still hard, which may affect how much soap lathers. Let us know if you need anything!
We love spontaneous travel plans, enjoy visiting sites that are off the beaten path. We horseback trail ride and camp during the summer. We are very easy going. I work for the PA Dept of Agriculture as the veterinary medical field officer. My husband is also a veterinarian and works at the University of Pittsburgh. We enjoy animals and good food and wine!
