If you want a quiet retreat with beautiful sunrises right on the water, Hibiscus Hale is the right place. It's the perfect home for reading on the beach or heading to either end of the island. Essie was extra helpful, providing great info on things to do in a notebook in the home. I'd recommend anyone heading to Kaua'i stay at Hibiscus Hale.
My husband and I had the most amazing time in this beautiful Hawaiian bungalow. It was just steps to a gorgous beach, very private and quiet. The place itself had everything you could want, a full kitchen, nice bathroom and beautiful ocean views from every window. No air conditioning needed as the ceiling fans and cross breeze kept the house at a nice temperature. We were welcomed with delicious fresh fruit in the kitchen, bagels and cream cheese in the fridge. It is very close to a general store with a great burger stand. Just across the road from the store is a fruit stand that makes delicous Acai bowls and smoothies. The town of Kapaa was only a 10 min drive from the house. Some of the best snorkeling we did on the whole trip was right in front of our house. We are so grateful to have found this little piece of paradise and cannot wait to return.
We stayed at Hale Hibiscus Lani during our recent honeymoon to Kauai. Essie was tremendously responsive and communication prior to arriving on the island was excellent. The space was very comfortable and the views of the ocean (a literal stone's throw away from the patio) were amazing. The property has immediate access to a fairly secluded, private beach which can be great for snorkeling depending on the tide and wind levels. There are few shopping/dining options in the immediate area (Duane's Ono Burgers and Kalelea Juice Hale are strongly recommended) but the town of Kapaa is ten minutes away. The amazing beaches of the North Shore and the town of Hanalei are twenty minutes away and are easily accessible by car. As other noted in the listing, a rental car is a must. Altogether it was an incredible trip. Anahola is a perfect location that enables access to the northern and southern sides of the island while staying away from the more trendy, "touristy" regions of the island. We will definitely stay at Hale Hibiscus Lani during any future trips to Kauai.
We came here for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Hawaii and I'm so glad that this was our introduction. We loved being so close to the beach and hearing the waves all day. The views were amazing! We sat outside on the lani for our morning coffee and watched the sun rise. At night, we enjoyed wine and looking at the stars. Essie left us flowers, papayas, and starfruit. They were delicious! The location was convenient, close to things we wanted to do, yet secluded and quiet. We loved staying here!
Beautiful secluded tropical paradise! My husband and I loved our stay. Morning beach walks, breakfast in the breeze, homemade fruit cocktails and dinner on the Lani. There are many beaches and surf nearby, as well as hiking and markets. We booked through Airbnb and my reservation was lost. Luckily I contacted the host and the place was still available but I strongly recommend emailing after you book to confirm. Overall, highly reccomend!!
