Our Tamarack Pines cabin is the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern conveniences. Its' outdoor decks, pine paneling, wood floors & stone fireplace recall the old days of Tahoe, yet, a newly remodeled bathroom with shower/tub combo, on demand hot water, hi-speed WIFI, quality bedding, linens and rugs make this house very comfortable for a small family, two couples or several single folks (4 People Max). Nightly rate includes 10% tax. Walk to Kilner Park, Sunnyside & Bike Trail access.
New kitchen appliances with fully equipped pots, pans & dishes, BBQ & upgraded lighting will make cooking your meals a breeze, or skip the cooking and take a short walk to our local favorite restaurants: Sunnyside Resort for it's amazing view & fish tacos or Firesign Cafe for breakfast, or consider a beach picnic grabbing to go from Spoon or West Shore Gourmet Market. For indoor comfort, downstairs our cabin features hi-speed WiFi, a 43" Flat Screen TV with Blu Ray in LR and a Bose CD player and a chest full of games. The comfortable downstairs sofa will pull out for extra sleeping space. Upstairs, you will find two new queen size mattresses with quality linens in each room, a 32" flat screen TV in the master, a lending library with books to take or leave, a computer desk & cozy reading chair in the Master, each upstairs bedroom features two large closets & two dressers. The Cabin's charming upper deck with two deck chairs and a table is perfect for your morning coffee. Our upgraded on-demand hot water heater will ensure all of our guests can have a relaxing hot bath or shower after a day of skiing, hiking, biking or time at the beach.

At our historic cabin, built by famed Tahoe builder, Bert Anderson, we hope all our guests will enjoy the comfort of the entire cabin with its' three decks overlooking a large quiet wooded lot. At Tamarack Pines, guests can enjoy outdoor meals on the deck's picnic table and experience the tranquility of Tahoe's West Shore or choose to walk & take in the neighborhood vibe of Sunnyside, Pineland and Kilner Park. Bring your racquets, volleyballs and basketballs as nearby Kilner Park offers a play structure, swings, two newly resurfaced tennis/pickleball courts, a backboard, basketball court, volleyball court, BBQ area and more. If you are an adventure seeker, or active outdoorsman, our location provides easy biking to Tahoe City, Homewood or Squaw Valley via a bike path. Or ride up Ward Canyon for access to many off-road mountain biking trails. Fishing, Golfing, Shopping & Sightseeing are all close by in Tahoe City or further down the West Shore via trolley or car. In the winter with an advance ticket, you can avoid the crowds and traffic by accessing the Sherwood lift on the back side of Alpine Meadows, (no parking, but drop off available). Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, we know this cabin will provide a great location for your escape to Tahoe.

The cabin is set up for Hi Speed WiFi, however service in the mountains can be spotty compared to city locales. You may need to reset the password as needed. If you are sending large files, you may need to consider a commercial location in Tahoe City such as Tahoe House or Syd's Bagelry as they will probably have faster service. The Cable service has upgraded sports stations and more. On Demand Cable Movies are not available, however there is a Blu-Ray player in the L.R. & videos are available to rent in Tahoe City at Video Stop in the Big Tree Center.
1.Smoking is NOT allowed on property.
2.People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Guests are not allowed to exceed the occupancy limit agreed to above.
3.Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors; Code-enforced neighborhood quiet hours are from 10:00p.m. – 8:00a.m.
4.This home is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
5.Keep the property and all furnishings in good order, please try to leave the cabin as clean as possible as we are trying to keep the cleaning fees low.
6.Only use appliances for their intended uses.
PARKING – Parking is limited to 2-3 vehicles depending on size. Vehicles are to be parked in designated gravel parking pad only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
8.Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the house (beach towels are fine to take to the beach).
9.Garbage: Any garbage must be stowed in the green metal bear bin receptacle, located by the parking pad.
10. Fireplace: The fireplace is a wood fireplace. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the fireplace. Please use kindling & fire starter provided to start, directions for use in cabin. Do not throw water on fire to put out.
11.Cabin Info: Upstairs is not handicap accessible, due to age of cabin (1955) and staircase is somewhat narrow and original. Coleman floor furnace is on automatic timer. Do not stand on furnace or place anything over it. If the unlikely event that the pilot light should go out, please call owner.
12.Water: The cabin is on a well system. Our Tahoe tap water is excellent, please use as drinking water.
•No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads in Tahoe can be curvy and steep. Our gravel driveway is flat & well maintained; however, we highly recommend four wheel drive and/or chains during the snow months for side roads and main highways. We do not refund due to road conditions.
