Bourne Farm Oasthouse is surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland. You’ll love the Oast because of the comfy beds, the cozy interior and layout of the main living area, the light, the serenity, the solitude. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
Four Poster in Master Bedroom.
Pair Swedish XL twin beds in Bedroom 2
Twin beds on the platform accessed via ladder (rec 8yrs+ up there)
Although the 2 bathrooms are not en suite they sit within central roundel
Let me know your planned ETA and I can leave appropriate welcome goodies inside the oast to welcome you on arrival. If you're travelling from afar perhaps you'd like a home cooked meal ready to gobble up cooked and waiting in the oven for you. Or perhaps you'd rather have your first mornings breakfast ingredients left in the fridge for you? LMK and anything can be arranged.

The Oasthouse has a dedicated garden with big table and 6-8 chairs sitting under a generous oak tree. Cushions for the metal chairs (blue&white check) can be found in the bottom oast around the niche on the RHS within little open wardrobe. You are welcome to walk around behind the oasthouse down the RHS towards the treehouse at the bottom of the garden - a pair of braying (delightfully amusing) donkeys would love to see you especially with a carrot of similar!

We live on site nearby and are on hand if necessary. Let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like to do during your stay and I will do my best to help/guide you make it happen..... Kite/Wind Surfing hire/tuition on Camber Sands? 'Wingwalking' or Stunt Plane passenger from Headcorn aerodrome? Mountain bike around Bedgebury? Possibly a horseride on the beach? Visit to Charleston Farmhouse? Tuesday night is practice night for bell ringing at local church....

Highly recommend at least one car free day during your stay. Why not take the terriers and walk to Bodiam Castle (45mins) and beyond to Ewhurst Green (45mins further on) for pub lunch at The White Dog - in summer sit out in the garden overlooking the castle, by winter near the inglenook fireplace. Return to the Oasthouse via Bodiam and a different route along the River Rother to the Pump House (past the butting goat) across the fields and home via St Nicholas Church with a downhill approach. Fabulous day out!
- Smoking strictly outside only

A happy go lucky Interior Designer full of life & total adoration for the beautiful countryside that surrounds the Oast - we cant wait to share it with you. We love the hysterical terriers and pair of resident braying donkeys. We walk the dogs every day and Bodiam Castle is a quick footpath hike 45minutes yonder when you're staying. There's generally someone on hand to help with any questions should you need us. And always the 4 legged wanting to accompany you.
