My place is great because of its central location. I live in the heart of Penzance, a 5 minute walk from the local cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. I am also 10 minutes away from station, parks and promenade. Although I do not have private parking, there is parking in my street or nearby. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
My house has a bright, cosy and friendly atmosphere and is very accessible as the guest room, kitchen, bathroom and courtyard are on the ground floor. The guest room has a comfy double bed, with TV, Wifi, a kettle, mugs, coffee, tea and biscuits. In the spring and summer my courtyard is nice to relax in away from the hustle and bustle of the town and if you are a cyclist you can leave your bikes there too.

Guests have access to their bedroom and there is a shared bathroom, kitchen and courtyard also. Although I do not provide breakfast there are many cafes and shops a stones throw away. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen facilities, eat meals there and relax as much as they want to.

I currently work 4 days during term time and will not be home until 4.30-5pm. However whenever I am at home I am very happy to have a chat, provide guidance on places of interest and have a good connection to the artist community in Penwith should guests be interested in finding out more.

I have a key safe outside my front door should I not be able to meet guests so they can get into my house, however where possible I will try to meet and greet guests on their arrival. Although I have specified check in time from 5-10pm, it may be possible for guests to arrive before then and access their room if I am not working or if guests would like to leave their belongings in in the kitchen if the room is not available until 5pm. I am flexible on these matters and ask guests to contact me regarding the above if they need to.
No eating takeaways in the guest room. A kitchen is provided. Many Thanks.
I am a local to Penwith, having grown up in Penzance and spent much of my childhood horse riding or cycling across the countryside and coastline. I have now been living back in Cornwall since 2013 and still thoroughly enjoy getting out and about although I'm a bit of a fair weather cyclist.
I am a friendly, warm and creative person who has spent much time traveling around the world. I am used to meeting people, staying in all kinds of places and living in shared houses. I think this makes me fairly easy and relaxed to get on with and I can provide advice on places to explore. I used to speak Spanish quite well as I lived in central Spain, it's a bit rusty now, but I'm always willing to give it a go.
Since returning to Cornwall I have been teaching art at the local college and life drawing at Penzance Art School. In my spare time I continue to paint, although coming from a history of potters I am now getting into ceramics. I am always keen to check out the local exhibitions in the area as we have a wealth of creativity in Penwith.
If I had a motto in life it would be work at what inspires you, make art and get out into nature.
