Nestled in the hills above the S. Fork of the Payette River, our secluded yurt is circled by tall pine trees. Take in views, watch wildlife, or look for shooting stars from the wrap-around deck.
Keep to the yurt for your stay, or take advantage of nearby access to the river / put-ins, trails for hiking, mountain biking, a mtn bike pump track/tubing hill, hot springs, skiing/snowshoeing areas, the quaint town of Crouch, and USFS & BLM land.
The yurt is rustic, comfortable & cozy--perfect for a small gathering of family or friends to enjoy the peaceful wilderness and some of Idaho's best outdoor recreational access.
The kitchen has a 2-burner propane stove, plates/utensils/cookware, cooking basics (salt/oils/spices) & french press. Fresh drinking water is stocked before your stay & we'll replenish as needed. There is no running water. A dry cooler is provided inside the yurt for your use.
Firewood is provided for the wood stove. To protect our forests, do NOT bring your own wood. There is minimal electrical/lighting so bring headlamps or a flashlight.
The queen-on-bottom/twin-on-top bunk has 3" river mats & there is also a queen-sized futon. Bring your own sleeping bags/bedding & pillows.
There is a clean outhouse & no shower.
The yurt is an ideal spot for having fun and connecting with family and friends, and soaking up the wilderness. There's a time and place for everything, but if you're looking for a place to have a rowdy party with friends, this is NOT the spot for you. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am.
Zugang für Gäste
The yurt is located on our small mountain ranch. There is parking for up to 2 vehicles below the yurt. A short trail accesses the yurt with less than a 5-minute walk up. Pack accordingly--you'll need to carry your gear up a short, but steep trail with switchbacks.
We live here full time and are building the ranch from the ground up. If you'd like to see our progress please let us know. When time allows we are happy to give you the tour.
**In winter, we plow the road from the highway. Occasionally, winter conditions do not allow for plowing and you will need to walk, snowshoe, or ski up the 1 1/2 mile road. We can make arrangements to meet you and haul up your gear in a wagon and will be in touch before your stay to confirm conditions.

We'll send a code for the lockbox with the key prior to your stay. During your stay, we'll check in to be sure you have enough water/wood, and are happy to recommend nearby whitewater, hiking, biking, skiing, opportunities and activities in nearby Crouch.

We found a slice of paradise in the mountains of Idaho and are building a small working ranch where our family (husband + me + two silly dogs ) thrives on the sunshine, encounters with our neighboring wildlife, and good dirt. We have enjoyed our stays through AirBnB on our travels and look forward to welcoming guests to the ranch.
