We enjoyed our vacation at Lefteris's house. It has a great yard and situated in a big garden with many other houses like that. The garden is very nice and well-maintained and cleaned. The overall place is a small village where mainly people from Greece spend their summer time. There are very few tourists and in overall the village is not a typical touristic place, you would not find there shops for tourists, (many) cafes or restaurants, no some beach bars nearby – and this is what we liked about the place, it is quiet, not crowded, people are nice and polite, many older people, not too many children. There is a public beach close to the house (5 minute walk) where umbrellas are free of charge and there are always some free ones, so the beach is never too crowded. People take chairs from their houses to the beach, we also had them which our host provided in the house. The beach is sandy, the water is warm and very clean, entrance to the water is very good, also sandy, the depth increases very gradually so it is ideal for kids. The sea there is very calm, almost no waves at all – you would see some small waves in the middle of the day, but in the morning and in the evening the water is almost completely still. There are a couple of groceries where you can buy some food to cook, the choice is decent. There are not too many possibilities to eat out of the house, at least not in a walking distance, so one has to cook himself or go somewhere farther by car. For us it was completely satisfactory to cook ourselves, the house has literally everything for that. We brought our own equipment for barbeque so we enjoyed it in the yard. The house is also perfectly equipped not only for food cooking, but otherwise – you would find everything you might need there, coming to such little details as mosquitos repellents, etc. The host really took care about all the details for guests to feel welcome, so upon arrival you don’t need to rush immediately to the grocery to buy some basic things you may need, but you will find in the house coffee, sugar, some pasta, olive oil, drinking water, a bottle of wine as a welcome gift from the host…. All in all, we enjoyed our staying in the house and at the beach, we did not turn on the car for our whole stay, except for going to the grocery… though our host recommended us quite some places to visit, like beach bars or other beaches nearby (close if go by car), but we did not feel a need to move out of the place. Overall, it is not a good place for people looking for some night life, cafes, restaurants, etc, - but it is ideal for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
