Thank you again for staying at my home!
Please do not give life to the reviews that other guests have left. Clearly, bad reviews are not something I can say that I often receive. A "Secret" Airbnb... Well, this term is just comical being that my home is openly posted on Airbnb for all to book. Instantly! Without my prior approval!
No one has complained about my directions before. They cannot be any more clear. There is not much you have to do! I was only a telephone call, a text message, a FaceTime away!
Yes, you were asked to "park away from and outside the gate of the actual apartment"... that is called "Guest/Visitor Parking"! You were a guest/visitor, were you not?
Uninviting notes? The notes that read "You Are Amazing"? or the others that read "Please Do Not Open Drawers"? Many people list homes that they do not actually live in. In that case you can likely utilize all parts of the home, to include dressers and drawers. I, on the other hand, do live in my home, so, the dressers and some drawers are not for guests use. I patronize many homes around the world listed on Airbnb. Not one has NOT had signs/notes posted around the home. My notes are super inviting compared to those that i've seen. Those "notes" that i've seen in other homes didn't affect me because they are only there to bring the home owner peace of mind to know that they are clearly conveying their guest expectations. Don't forget that you are in a person's home! There are rules anywhere you go.
In hotels you have parking areas often very far from the hotel itself. At most hotels you have to not only pay for parking but to also walk a ways to your vehicle. At hotels you have signage everywhere... signs that reads "Water $25", "Touch this today and pay for it Tomorrow!" If you are not familiar with what a Bed and Breakfast is or the foundation from which Airbnb was built then you should definitely educate yourself.
