WHITE CANVAS guest house is a beautiful artist house located in central Penzance. It's around 15 minutes walk from the train/bus station with a bus stop around the corner. WHITE CANVAS is a semi-detached house with a 3-side garden, privately located right behind the Police Station in Penzance.
We are surrounded by 2 famous parks (Penlee garden & Morrab garden), the promenade, Jubilee Pool, Penzance harbour, restaurants, shops and galleries.
We welcome singles, couples, and business travellers.
This private room is called Acorn Room, and it is located on Ground floor. Acorn room is a smaller room in the guest house.
The size of the room is smaller but comfortable:
Floor area: 2.3 x 3.2 meters (approx)
Ceiling height: 2.4 meters (approx)
Please note a corner of the room is under the staircase which is good for your baggage space but might make you feel the room smaller.
Shared shower room on 1st floor: This bathroom size is 1.8 x 2.5 meters, it's freshly renewed with a walk-in shower room (120cm x 90cm), a toilet and a basin unit. We provide hair dryer, cotton buds, shampoo and shower gel for you to use.
Additional shared toilet in the ground floor: there is an additional toilet in the ground floor which is very useful when the shower room is occupied.
HDTV with DVD player: we provide a 24" HD wifi-connected TV screen with DVD player in your private room for your own personal use. You can browse Digital channels, or use HDMI and USB ports to connect with your own devices. We also provides a range of DVD that you can watch during your stay.
Breakfast: We provide basic breakfast which includes fresh bread, toast, jams and butter, several cereals, milk, tea, coffee in the dinning room.
Food supplies: there are a Tesco local, 2 Co-ops, an Asian supermarket, 2 vegetable shops and an Archie Browns in central Penzance, they are around 5 minute walk away from the house.
Restaurants: there is a good variety of different restaurants in central Penzance, we have included a series of our recommendation in our guest room hand book.

As well as your own private room, we provide many shared spaces for you to rest, reading, cooking and having meals.
Shared kitchen and refrigerator: The kitchen and refrigerator is available for your shared use.
Shared living room and dinning room: You don't have to sit in your private room all the time, you are welcome to use our living room and dinning room.
Garden: the house has good size south-facing 3-sided garden which enjoys good sun light most of the day. There are is garden furniture for your shared use. You are welcome to walk and rest in the garden or have a meal or a cup of tea/coffee here.
Laundry: You will be able to use our washing machine and dryer at extra cost. Please ask and pay for your use upon your arrival.
Car parking: there is a St. John's Hall pay and display parking lot near by, also it is often easy to find somewhere to park for free in the neighborhood area. However, please note that there is no parking space right outside of the house, as it is a very quiet private house. It has access via a small private footpath.

Interaction with guests. You will have a warm welcome and I will show you the WHITE CANVAS facilities and your room. Please note that there might be other guests stay in other rooms in the house at the same time. I'm an artist and my art studio is located in a side of the garden. I will be working in the house or studio most of the time during the day, but might not be around during night time.

We have a bus stop very close by which is on Alverton Road. If you planned to visit Land's end, Minack Theatre, Porthcurno or Mousehole, you can take the bus from here without walking back to the main station.
The shoes inside the house. During your stay, we provide comfortable slippers and garden shoes for you.
I'm a Taiwanese artist who has travelled the world and I've finally found Cornwall in which I want to spend the rest of my life. I love art, stay-cation, nature and gardening and I also volunteer in the Cornwall Wildlife Trust which helps improve the local natural environment. I speak both Chinese and English fluently.
