This place was absolutely perfect. The place and views were exactly as shown in the pictures. The House Check in with Rosa was informative and hassle free. We met Rosa at the house and she gave us an overview of everything and suggestions of places to eat, hike, and was available for any questions or activity ideas throughout our stay. I stayed at the house with my friend. We each had our own spacious bedroom and bathroom on opposite sides of the house. I was curious about the open air living room, kitchen, and bar area, but was surprised how effective the ceiling fans were in keeping the bugs to a minimum and cooling the place down. Every morning I made coffee and sat on the couch listening to birds, staring at the ocean and monkeys playing in the trees. I couldn't have been any more relaxed. The overall atmosphere is what you expect when in Costa Rica. There is a trail out back that leads down to a couple different beaches, sometimes nobody else is down there and it feels like a private beach. The Location was perfect. Lots of restaurants, liquor stores, and markets. Couple good local bars as well. If you truly need a swimming pool, the hotel next to the house let us lay out and swim. We just had to buy a drink or food which was not a big deal. We actually walked to Manuel Antonio Park. Long walk, took a cab back, but places to stop and snack along the way. The town of Quepos is a 5 minute cab ride. We had a car and drove to Dominical which isn't far at all. Overall a pleasurable experience and Rosa was amazing. I'm serious, Rosa will go out of her way to make sure your stay is perfect. I would love to stay here again and have recommended to a couple of my friends. Thank You Elizabeth and Rosa

A special place with a great location more or less at the top of the Manuel Antonio mountain and very close to some good restaurants and shops, yet at the same time the house itself is quiet with an ocean view and breeze. The walk to restaurants is along a narrow road without sidewalks sometimes busy with cars and tourist vans. Manuel Antonio is a steep place with little level ground; our group had never been before and so didn't quite appreciate this fact. In fact the stairs down to the entry of Encanto are substantial, but we adjusted. I personally loved walking every morning down a private path through woods (jungle) to a secluded beach, and swimming in the Pacific. Wonderful. The way back up is exercise, maybe four or five hundred feet of elevation gain in a short distance, but followed by the cooling water of Encanto's simple outdoor shower. House is lovely and comfortable; sturdy bars enclosing the open-air living area (which is the house except for bedrooms and bathrooms) are a presumably needed protection from creatures like monkeys (yes, they came through the trees around the house one morning). Bars seemed a typical design for the area, but wished they or at least a section could have been opened. We wandered one minute down the hill to Mango Moon boutique hotel for a pleasant open-air breakfast two mornings, and also cooked several breakfasts and lunches. Kitchen is well appointed. Stovetop is basic. One favorite nearby restaurant was Barba Roja, informal and with a good sunset view, despite looking tacky from the outside. The adjoining gift shop has artworks from indigenous Costa Ricans and worth a stop. Overall Encanto Pacifico is a great choice for being in Manuel Antonio.

We stayed at Encanto Pacifico for a few nights while staying in Manuel Antonio. This house was secluded and away from the noise of the town, and felt like a private tropical getaway. It is truly an authentic Manuel Antonio experience and we saw wildlife and had a private beach we would not have had the chance to see had we stayed elsewhere. Note that lizards, geckos, bugs, etc will be in the house with you, but ended up being great neighbors to share our vacation with. Rosa was SO helpful. She booked trips and car transfers for us and followed up later to make sure everything went well. We hope to return soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Elisabeths beautiful house. So peaceful and yet central location with a stunning ocean view. We saw a lot of animals in the garden, really amazing! Rosa was so nice and helped us to book tours like white water rafting and hike in Manuel Antonio nationalpark. The house is in such a beautiful area with many nice beaches and good restaurants nearby.

My husband and I did a week stay at Encanto Pacifico. The stay was wonderful. The house was very spacious and comfortable. Rosa did a great job setting up tours and very knowledgeable about restaurants in the area. We were able to visit places that we did not think of when planning, such as Villa Vanilla. It was an awesome experience. We are looking forward to visiting again. And also hope to have such a memorable experience if we use Airbnb again. Thanks for a great trip.

The house is beautiful! Great view and spacious. So much wildlife and a very pretty hike down to the "private beach". Had a great time.

We had an amazing two-week stay at Encanto Pacifico. We felt so privileged, amongst the many non-descript hotels in the area, to have a private piece of jungle paradise surrounded by such incredible wildlife. White-faced monkeys, squirrel monkeys, lizards, igauana, toucans, black squirrels and agouti were all right outside our window. Elizabeth was great to communicate with, and her local concierge Rosa was very attentive and helped arrange a number of trips. Elizabeth arranged for local driver Fabio to come and collect us from San Jose airport ($140) and his son Fabio Jr. took us on a number of our trips. The house is large and bright, with a well equipped kitchen and lots of fans. It is predominantly open along one side, with large caged windows with sailcloth blinds for shade. The beds are large and comfortable, and both bathrooms are clean and spacious. The gardens are full of exciting colourful plants and beautiful big trees (the mango tree being a source of both delicious fruit and almost permanent monkey business!). There is a vertiginous track out the back which leads to the nearest beach. We found this hill a little precarious, but were able to blag a lift from the nearby Los Altos hotel, which was running people up and down the track frequently. Our favourite beach was Playa Biesanz which is a 1mile walk from Encanto Pacifico- or flag down a cab for a couple of dollars. There are friendly locals who will sell you snacks and drinks, rent you sun loungers and kayaks etc, hassle-free. There are lots of hotels that will let you use their pool if you buy a few drinks. My favourite was the simple Mango Moon hotel next door, whose pool was shaded and cool. Los Altos was more upmarket and had a minimum spend of $20pp. We also tried out Issimo, on the road home from Playa Biesanz, with a deep pool surrounded by decking. The Rainmaker Conservation Project is a great 2-3km trek through the rainforest walking on rope bridges and along easy to follow tracks, plus taking a dip in a cool waterfall pool. When visiting Manual Antonio National Park, pay for a guide- for $20, their knowledge and telescopes are essential for being able to spot the creatures hiding in the woods (SLOTHS!). At the end, head for the quieter second beach (Espanilla South) to avoid the crowds. The El Santuario Canopy Adventure Tour was awesome- ten wicked zip lines in the jungle. Book online for $70 which includes transport and lunch. The guides are entertaining, and it felt incredlbly safe and well organised. The local restuarants are all good. Emilios Cafe and Milagros Cafe are great for breakfast, coffee and cake. The Falafel bar on the corner was AMAZING. We also ate at El Avion, Lambretta Pizzeria and Barba Roja (expect to spend about $20pp). The small local supermarket was ample for fresh fruit and veg for breakfasts, and has an ATM. Have a great trip... Pura...
