The hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome, although it was a bit complicated to communicate since we don't speak Spanish very well.
The house sits in a quiet and remote area, which was exactly what we were looking for. The nearest village is a five minute drive away and has a couple of small supermarkets and cafés. The house is built into the side of a hill and has lovely views from the garden. It's also very nice to sit in the jacuzzi, although it's worth noting that the use of it is an optional extra for which they charge 25 € per night. There is satellite TV with lots of channels, all of them German.
I don't think there had been guests there for a while before we went, so the house was quite cold and damp when we arrived and there was a thin layer of dust in the kitchen. There is only heating in the living room and bedrooms, which heated up quickly. We didn't however manage to get rid of the humidity during our four night stay. This might be better if the house has been occupied before your stay or at a different season.
All in all, this is a nice place to stay for those looking for a quiet spot in the mountains on the north side of Gran Canaria. It sits at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level, so it's obviously also a bit cooler than by the sea.
