This is a Non-Smoking Home and Property. Guest is liable for any guest they invite into the home during Airbnb rental agreement. If Guest, or guests thereof, disregard this policy, Guest will be charged a $300 cleaning fee for any smoke detected in the home. Thank you for your consideration. If you are a smoker, and wish to rent my property, please message me to discuss.
CLEANING FEE: I charge a minimal cleaning fee of $35 to help offset the $70 cleaning fee I incur each time a guest checks out. The Guest Cottage is cleaned thoroughly between each and every guest: fresh linens/towels, floors mopped, bathrooms, etc. I have had a hand-full of guests who have not treated the Cottage as it deserves (and then they left awesome reviews how they loved it!!) and I do not want to raise the cleaning fee... so thank you for your consideration regarding this issue!
The Guest Cottage is 30 miles from Palm Springs and be sure to visit the Living Desert Museum a bit further east; 20 minutes to the town of Redlands; less than 50 miles from Big Bear Lake, including Forest Falls just 20 miles away; and 20 minutes to the tranquil mountain town of Oak Glen, with excellent hiking trails! plus we are less than 50 miles west of the incredible Joshua Tree National Park! which makes for a fabulous day trip.
Downtown Beaumont is known for its amazing and numerous antique shops! All along 6th Street, right off Highway 10, you will find shops with hundreds of spaces filled with antiques and various collectibles. And the recently renovated Fox Theater in Banning has recently released movies, cost just $4.00-$5.00/person depending on the day.
This Guest Cottage has been recently renovated: new flooring in kitchen/living room; new range/oven; new kitchen back door; wrought-iron security screen doors on front and back doors so you can rest assured enjoying the beautiful cool night air flowing freely throughout the home; new ceiling fans; new refrigerator; and new microwave oven and toaster oven... : )
NOTE: We do ask that our guests have Complete Profiles where you currently live, your college or employment, clear photos, personal information on each guest planning on staying, and a brief purpose of trip. It is very important for us to know a bit about the wonderful people who are staying at our extra Guest Cottage, while still maintaining guest privacy.

You are welcome to walk around the entire property of the Guest Cottage and surrounding grounds. Outside of your private backyard we own all of the non-developed acreage you see around you, five acres total. Be sure to go out to the fence near the barn where Gypsy the horse roams, and feel free to feed her either apples or carrots if you have them on hand. Next to Gypsy's field to the south is our free roaming chicken pasture, and chicken coops where new baby chicks are usually hatching. We ask that you do not open any of the chicken or horse gates to ensure their safety.

Enjoy your stay, and then please leave the guest home in the same condition in which you found it - straightened up, rugs in place, furniture put back if moved, dishes washed, kindly leave beds turned down for quick changing, and leave all trash bagged and placed outside the back kitchen door.
Please DO Have a Great Relaxing Visit and enjoy the fresh mountain air, tranquility, and private grounds.
We would like to know a little about our guests upon reserving - where are you coming from? How many guests? Vacation or business? Nice to be familiar a bit with those who share our wonderful environment and guest home - while being sensitive to maintaining your privacy and the enjoyment of your visit.
ALSO, please remember that we accommodate guests continually year-round, and we so appreciate your keeping the home in the condition in which you found it! We are not a hotel where a housekeeper comes in daily and immediately after guests leave :)
Also, we are a non-smoking house/property, with a recycle/reduce/reuse mentality - thank you for separating your trash during your stay! Cans and plastics are also recycled. Large trash bags can be found behind the trash container in kitchen to bag these items, and all other trash can be placed in the large black trash container just outside your back kitchen door.
PLEASE turn off heater/fans/air cooler when leaving the house, and turn down to lower settings at night.
Looking forward to your visit with us! Please feel free to ask any questions you may have?!

10089 FABULOUS FURRY FRIENDS PET POLICY:
I do allow pets on an individually approved upon basis. However, there are a few requests regarding our Fabulous Furry Friends! I ask that guests please bring all of their own pet bedding, toys, sheets, food/ water bowls, and a rag to clean paws before entering the home to insure back yard debris does not become a permanent part of the inside decor. Things can be cleaned, but we all want to have a pleasant experience out of this mutual arrangement! - and we ask that our Furry Friends do not jump up on the furniture, beds, chairs, etc. and that they use their own bedding. Thank YOU sooooo much for your understanding!!!! :) I have spent many, many, many hours vacuuming, and taping up pet hairs and just had to crack down for my non-pet owners! We Love pets!! but for our guests without pets..... well, you know.... Poor Them! :)
Please do keep an eye on those special members of your family - kindly check the back yard and other lawn areas every day, and please pick up all pet waste daily, bag it, tie tight, and place outside of your guest home to dry out, then deposit into the green yard waste container at the front of our house at the street, one house south of your guest home.
Thank you, again, for your understanding! Have Fun! Relax! Breathe… : )
