This room is suitable for one or two persons. There are two single beds in the room as well as cupboards, desk, lamp, bookcase and shelves.
A bit more:
There is satellite tv (46inch flat screen), Wifi, washing machine, dryer, kitchen, garden etc.
The house itself is spacious and comfortable. Guests have use of the communal facilities: lounge, diner and kitchen.
There are two bathrooms (one with shower for guests' use and the family bathroom with bath and shower) as well as downstairs cloakroom.
We also have a beautiful garden which has a range of shrubs and trees, a lawn and tables to sit at and eat outdoors if you should so wish (weather permitting!).
The view: You look onto a large garden (ours!) and behind that the green playing fields of Barnet Football Club. Finally in the distance is the arch of England's most famous stadium and the heart of English football, Wembley. The view at night can transport you into a wonderland. First there are low level lights along the path leading up to Barnet Stadium which have led it to be known locally as "The Runway", then, when lit, the lights of Barnet Stadium and finally beyond that and the lights of distant houses, the lights, if you are lucky enough to see them illuminated, of the iconic arch of Wembley. The new LED lighting installed in 2014 means the arch can be illuminated in an endless range of colourful possibilities. It literally takes your breath away!
A key is provided for your room for additional peace of mind as well as for the front door so you can come and go as you wish.
As mentioned, we are particularly well placed for public transport. We are just one minute from the tube (subway) station and bus stops.
Moreover, Jubilee Line stations are near some of London's most famous landmarks, saving the hassle of having to change trains, including:
The Houses of Parliament
Not least of the advantages of our station is that being near the end of the line you will always get a seat going into town!!
The centre of Edgware is nearby with its shopping centre and other amenities.
We are opposite Canons Park, a beautiful park where you can enjoy the walks and the scenic views.
There is an additional charge of £10 per night for a second person.
We can, if required, provide meals as an optional extra (English breakfast £5, light breakfast £3, other meals £7) but otherwise we are happy to provide milk, tea, coffee, etc at no charge.
Guests also have free use of washing machine and dryer (including soap powder) once a week. To avoid excessive use of this facility there is a charge of £5 per additional wash. Longer term guests may wash (without charge) their bedding every two weeks. We encourage guests to use the clothes line in warmer weather.
Please note that this is a family home and we are looking for guests who are comfortable in family surroundings.
Please also note that WE CAN ONLY CONSIDER BOOKING REQUESTS WHERE APPLICANTS HAVE VERIFICATIONS (INCLUDING OFF-LINE ID), PROFILE AND PHOTO. The photo should be a clear photo of all guests and not a photo of a cuddly toy or pretty landscape! Please contact Airbnb if you need assistance with any of the requirements.
Some Further Updates:
1)We have refurbished our shower room to high standards. We have re-tiled, fitted new lighting, a new shower enclosure, new toilet, new vanity unit (washbasin and cupboard) and new illuminated, sensor operated, mirrored cabinet.
2)A new Tesco Express has opened just 2 minutes walk from here. Tesco is the UK's largest supermarket chain and the Express stores are their smaller stores where you should be able to find your basic food needs.
3) FROM THE 7TH OCTOBER 2016 AN ALL NIGHT TUBE HAS STARTED ON THE JUBILEE LINE (OUR LINE). SERVICES RUN EVERY 10 MINUTES ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT!! THE JUBILEE LINE IS ONE OF ONLY 5 LINES CHOSEN FOR THIS ALL NIGHT SERVICE.
No shoes upstairs.
No loud noise, especially after 9 pm.
No food in rooms, please. Guests are provided with cupboard and fridge space and may eat in the dining room.
Please keep bathroom and kitchen clean and tidy after use.
No visitors without prior permission.
No overnight visitors.
Free use of washing machine once a week (including soap powder). To avoid excessive use, additional use is charged at £5 per wash.
Check-in procedures. We are flexible with our check-in times. Check-in is after 2 pm to allow for previous guests to check-out and for us to get the room ready. If there are no guests checking out then it's fine to check in earlier. Or if there are, you can leave your bags here ahead of time. But whatever time you arrive you must agree with us on an approximate time of arrival to avoid us having to wait in all day!
