A large guest room with private bath is located on the second floor of our 1849 Victorian house, which is the Calm in the Chaos Interfaith Center. There are two beds in the room - a twin and a queen. We are in the country - sheep in the barn, organic veggies in the garden - but are only minutes from the town of Brockport, a college town with every amenity imaginable. Twenty minutes from Rochester, where you can visit George Eastman's house, the Eastman School of Music, Memorial Art Gallery, the Museum and Science Center. And there is a festival of some sort nearly every weekend spring through fall in Rochester. Breakfast is included with your stay. Other meals may be arranged.
Please help yourself to our permanently-installed labyrinth in the east yard for walking meditation.
Because we are a center for contemplation and retreat, there are no TVs in the guest rooms. You are welcome to bring your ipad, laptop and such. We have Wifi in the house; password will be given once you arrive. We are on a main artery that runs from the NY State thruway right into Brockport. Brockport is a college town with restaurants, a great independent bookstore! and quaint shops. In the summer, you can grab a bike from the visitor's center and bike for miles on the towpath of the Erie Canal. There are docks to put in canoes as well. There is always a parking space for you in our driveway.
We are kid-friendly, but have no cribs. I can pop up a blow-up air bed on the floor for wee ones. We have a mini-Dachshund in the house, but not in the guest area. Two Shetland sheep and five chickens in the barn will surely want you to feed them! Your small (under 20-pounds) pooch is welcome as well. Please ask for the special doggie contract.

Darla's house is very clean and her hospitality is out of this world. She was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions (gluten free/dairy free) for breakfast and was a wonderful hostess.

What a beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming home. We wished we could have stayed longer because Darla is such a sweetheart and a great host! This listing is a real hidden gem; we cannot praise her and her home enough. The pictures are nice but the home is even more beautiful than depicted. Everything was absolutely spotless, cozy, and beyond perfect. We are still in awe, and will definitely stay with Darla again as soon as we're back in this region. Her little dog Hershey is a cutie but will not have access to your room at all, so don't worry if you're not into dogs. Thank you again Darla for welcoming us to your home, for the delicious breakfast, for the time you took to chat with us, and for being such a great host!

Darla is a great B&B host. The place is very clean and located only 5 minutes from Brockport college. My daughter even got an impromptu piano lesson.

Darla did everything to make us fell at home. And we were a sort of weird crew - three Russians on a fishing trip - not your regular BnB visitors. Loved the area. Loved Darl's BnB - beautiful building. Darla served us nice breakfast with a home-made pie, eggs, sausages, coffee. Was an excellent way to start the day. My only suggestion for improvement is to replace those standard American sausages with something nicer. May I suggest Italian or Polish sausages? No offence meant, I told you we were a weird crew. Thank you, Darla.

Darla was a delightful host making me feel welcomed after a long day of travel. Her home and property are beautiful worthy of a destination visit onto itself. My room/bed was comfortable, spacious and clean along with a private bathroom and shower. A delicious homemade continental breakfast was left for me in the morning to enjoy the postcard historic setting. Highly recommend when in the area.

I am a professional musician, teaching Voice and Piano and directing a semi-professional children's choir. Schedule a lesson while you're here! Gardening and fiber arts make me happy. Because this is a "real" B&B, I will create a breakfast for you, no matter what your tastes -…
