Traditional townhouse in the beautiful seaside town of Les Cases d'Alcanar. Located in a small street adjacent to the church and popular restaurants, the house is a two minute walk from the beach, harbour and town centre. The house is suitable for adults and families but not those with children under 6 or 7 because the stairs could be a problem for them.
Traditional accommodation in a property which has been tastefully restored. Entering the property, stairs lead from the front door up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms and a small office. The first bedroom is at the front of the house and has a double bed, dressing table and wardrobe space. A set of French doors opens from this bedroom onto the street and little balcony. The second bedroom is at the rear of the house and has twin beds and a large chest of drawers. A little window opens into the enclosed patio from this bedroom and all windows have newly fitted mosquito screens, and the good quality beds.
Upstairs - the daily living space is open plan, including a small outdoor terrace. Stairs leading from the first to top floor are shown. The modern kitchen has a new cooker, water heater and fridge-freezer. Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for four persons are provided, and should anything additional be required the hosts need only ask.
The living area is comfortable, with leather sofas, a coffee table, television, DVD player and BOSE stereo system. Though the terrace is small it accommodates a table and four chairs. There is a retractable washing line on the terrace should you need to do some laundry, and a sun umbrella is always available for shade.
The bathroom, which is small, but clean, modern and functional is adjacent to the second bedroom, has a WC, wash hand basin and shower.
* Visitors should be aware that the stairs may prove problematic for anyone with mobility issues
Zugang für Gäste
Guests can access all parts of the house and are free to use whatever is available, including cooking ingredients from the kitchen cupboards or alcohol from the living and dining area. Guests who wish to watch DVD's should probably bring their own unless they are happy to watch mine, which are in English.
Interaktion mit Gästen
I am always happy to meet and interact with guests and am normally available to deal with any problems which may arise. If I am not available, my partner is. Information relating to local sights, festes and points of interest is available in the house or from the Tourist Information Office next to the port. Guests requiring anything specific in advance, or who have questions relating to a possible booking should feel free to contact me. I will always do my best to ensure that your visit is a happy and successful one.
Weitere wichtige Infos
Please remember Festes Majors is usually the middle two weeks in August! It's a wonderful event, with activities day and night, but visitors should be aware that at this time the town is very busy and parking can be problematic.
In addition - let me restate - that the stairs may prove difficult for people with mobility or health issues.
This is very much a family home and I like my guests to feel relaxed in it without worrying. We have a TV on the top floor, a BOSE radio/CD player and as long as you have a data package on your mobile or laptop local coverage is usually 4G. The hot water and the cooker are powered by gas which is housed in a garage downstairs. Hot water is immediate to the shower and taps. If visitors need or want anything in advance of a visit they only have to ask - I'll do my best to find it, within reason.
Please be aware that there are stairs to both the first and second floors in this property. It is for this reason only that I suggest the house is unsuitable for children under the ages of 6 or 7, though really this is a parental decision and younger children will be welcomed if parents are accepting of the potential hazards.
I do not rent to groups of teenagers. Again, this is a house suited to families and adults.
