“In 1876, the Wild West town of Deadwood was born when prospectors came across a gulch full of dead trees and a creek full of gold. Historic Deadwood, SD is just as wild today as it was when legends like Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and Seth Bullock roamed the streets. Today it offers organized events and activities every month of the year, gambling, shopping, breweries & wineries, tours and much more! Deadwood Social Club is one of our favorite restaurants to visit. Great food and atmosphere. The Smoked Tuaca Pheasant is a "Must Try"!”

“This property has it all. Once home to the historic Slime plant, this has been remodeled into an awesome location with bar and restaurant food, large casino floor, a coffee shop, huge event center that hosts famous bands, weddings, events and more. Check out their website for upcoming bands (they have hosted names like Dolly Parton, 38 Special, Shinedown, Hairball, Gabriel iglesias ect.) The Restaurant has a "Hard Rock" vibe to it. My Favorite dishes here are the Whiskey ribeye, and the Chicken Alfredo! ”

“Step back into the days of the Wild West as you stroll down Main Street in Historic Deadwood —an entire town that’s been designated as a National Historic Landmark. This former mining camp boomed during the gold rush of the 1870s, drawing prospectors, outlaws and larger-than-life characters like Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok. (It’s booming again now thanks to HBO’s Deadwood: The Movie, a 2019 film based on the network’s Emmy Award-winning series.) By the way, you can still strike it rich in Deadwood at one of the many modern-day gaming halls and casinos. Late-May through late-September, witness the wise-cracking antics of Wild Bill, Calamity Jane and crew at Deadwood Alive’s Main Street reenactments. The performances on the storied streets of Deadwood are family-friendly and free to watch. Nearby Towns: Lead (4.7 miles); Sturgis (13.5 miles); Spearfish (15 miles)”
