“520 Old Chesterfield Road Winchester, NH At 13,668 Pisgah is NH's largest state park. It contains a complete watershed north of the Ashuelot River, seven ponds, four highland ridges, numerous wetlands, and a 20-acre of old-growth forest. Large area for hiking, bring bug spray and canoeing or kayaking! Every year around the first of June there is a Half Marathon/10/5K Trail race here. It is put on by Friends of Pisgah. ”

“242 Rockwood Pond Road Fitzwilliam, NH Must visit in mid-July!! 2723 acres located on and around Little Monadnock Mountain, containing 16 acres of native Rhododendron maximum the largest of 19 similar stands in Central and Northern New England, the northern limit of their growing range. Park is open to hiking and picnicking. Leashed pets are permitted, except for on the Laurel trail. ”

“This place has a great history and numerous trails that offer spectacular views. If feeling really ambitious, you can hike over to Hinsdale and find yourself on top of Mount Wantastiquet. It’s a totally doable hike-I did it with a bunch of 6th graders. **The second photo is not even of the area. Not sure why or where they got that photo!**”
