“ the venue that started it all. It was the Ryman -- “the Mother Church of Country Music” -- that first started attracting names like Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, and George Jones, securing Nashville’s status as the American center of country music. The Ryman remains a country music mecca, but as one of the city’s most dazzling concert-going experiences, has also hosted everyone from the Foo Fighters to Janelle Monae. Even if you don’t make it to a concert, it’s at least worth taking the time for a brief tour. Check their homepage for concerts and dates.”

“++ An absolute MUST eat while in Nashville! ++ The line usually wraps around the block, so use the locals trick & order ahead online! You just arrive, walk through the exit door & pick up your food! Easy as pie. I recommend eating it at the Sky Lounge & enjoying a great view! ++ Recommendations: the hot chicken tenders, fried hard, with potato salad! Their ranch is also to die for! ++ The kids meals are $5 & come with 2 chicken tenders, a side, and a drink -- this is what I always order!”

“For breakfast or brunch, very touristy but yummy. Try the bronuts - fried dough with marscapone and bluberry compote or the "east nasty" hot chicken breakfast sandwich. Go early, call in for take out (not as fun!) or be prepared to wait in a very long line. ”
