“This is the only place you will see the Bay of Islands from land. It is a 1 min drive from Russell. If you drive up & over Flag Staff Hill you come to Tapeka Point. From there you can turn right into Du Fresne Place & then left up the hill to the end of the road. You will see a small Department of Conservation sign. This will lead you to the walking track & it is a 10-15 min walk to the top. From the top you can see from Nine Pin to Cape Brett. Spectacular! You may even see dolphins from up there.”
