Park
“Great park where you can sit on a bench and enjoy the view of the mighty Kern River, or play on the playground, or enjoy lunch on their picnic tables... It's a great place to let time pass you by while you are relaxing and present ”

“An easy to get to hiking trail from Kernville. The trail is somewhat rocky in parts, but relatively easy. There is a stream crossing a mile or so in that requires a little bit of balance. The trailhead is at the end of Burlando Rd and has a decent amount of parking available”

Park
“3-4 mile loop trail with relatively gentle slopes - with about half uphill and half downhill. A dense forest canopy cools this hike in the hottest months. Great for mountain biking too. Some nice views of Isabella Lake through the cedars on one side, and the Greenhorns on out to the San Joaquin Valley on the west side. The Greenhorn Grill is in nearby Alta Sierra & you can stop there for lunch or dinner on the weekends. ”

Park
“Nice park in the heart of Kernvillle. The park had picnic tables, allowed dogs, has a path along the river waterfront, playground, and several nice trees that provide good shade. It also has free street parking, although this is limited, and I can see how in the summer it must be hard to find parking. It is also close to a few restaurants and shops. Some people were fishing right on the waterfront.”
