Clean and nicely decorated. Centrally located in Lake Zurich. Jim is an attentive host, but not intrusive. I will stay here again.

I felt welcomed and comfortable the very minute I checked in to Kathy and Arnie's lovely home. The location is beautiful and quiet. The basement apartment is extremely clean and very spacious. It was amazing to be able to relax on the couch while enjoying a comfortable fireplace. The bed is very comfortable, and it's hard not to feel at ease here. Thank you Kathy and Arnie for being such wonderful hosts! I WILL be back!

Kathy & Arnie were great hosts. Unit was very clean and exactly what we needed. Arnie showed us around and was available to answer questions. Kathy even made us a struedel on Saturday morning which was yummy. We will stay there again!

The hosts were very responsive and some of the kindest people we've had the pleasure of renting from. Our stay in McHenry was a blast for everyone. Make sure to check out Richardson's Adventure Farm and head to Woodstock for some of the best BBQ this side of the Mississippi. And don't miss brunch at the pancake place in McHenry on the river. If you sit at the bars you get your food served to you via train. And the menu is unlike anything you'll find. It puts pretty much all breakfast/brunch places to shame, including those in Chicago. Lastly, if the weather is nice, cozy up with a bonfire. It's an amazing way to end a day. Taking the evening to be warm by a fire and staring at the stars makes your soul sing.

What a treat! My family of 5, plus baby all came together to vacation at Frank & Lori's beautiful home which is very clean and relaxing. Check-in was a breeze. This delightful couple greeted us and gave us a tour of their fully stocked home. They have an expansive beautiful garden which they offered fresh flowers and veggies. My adult children thoroughly enjoyed the garden. I wish I could add pictures because it's just so beautiful! Their parking lot was large enough to accommodate all 3 of our cars ( because my kids insisted on driving their own vehicles). It's about an hour's drive to Downtown Chicago, but their property is so extremely relaxing that its worth the commute. We as a family enjoyed breakfast out on the patio in the mornings and dinner in the dining room in the evenings. Although there is a grill available, we didn't have time to use it- perhaps next time. It felt like home! My daughter who's a bookworm enjoyed the collections of books that were available. All in all, it was an awesome stay. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning!

When we arrived, Lori and Frank were there to greet us. I had mentioned we were coming with mu Mom to celebrate her 85th birthday, and the centerpiece on the table was a mini birthday cake with "85" on top. We were so surprised at their thoughtfulness. The place was cozy, comfortable and cleaned with natural products, as best we could tell. They even stocked food items in the kitchen. There were nice touches of artwork in every room. Thank you!!

Jim's place is an oasis in a land of boring hotels. If you are more likely to take the road less traveled, choose the local indie shop over the big box, appreciate character over chains, this is it for you. For a business road warrior, this stop in the delightfully quaint Lake Zurich made all the difference. The warm studio apartment has everything you need, and has an access to an incredible rooftop patio, where you can kick back and relax. Shoes optional, as the large outside space even has artificial turf to sink your toes in. I was able to unwind and soak in the Lake Zurich sights and sounds, while working on my laptop, connected to the high quality wifi. If you are a music lover, Jim owns the local music haven, a store that rivals Empire Records and High Fidelity, combined. This could make Jim's apartment a destination alone, for vinyl lovers. Jim is a very thoughtful host, and a great guy. I'm happy I booked, and I wished I could have stayed longer. I'll return.

Greg Platz war ein großer Rückzug aus der Stadt für mich. Der Raum war einfach, aber hatte alles, was ich brauchte, um bequem zu sein. Die Sauna und der Fähigkeit, ein Feuer waren große Prämien als unsere IL Wetterübergänge in den Winter zu machen. Ich schätze, dass mein Hund im Raum willkommen war. Wir genossen Blick durch das Fenster auf den Fluss und Hirsche, die durch den Hof.

Mein Aufenthalt im Greg Platz war jenseits aller Erwartungen, wie ein ruhiger schöner Ort. Ideal für ein Wochenende zu entspannen und die Aussicht auf diesen See zu genießen. Alles war sauber, bereit, wenn wir ankommen und die Nachbarschaft ist sicher. Ein Ort, den ich 100% empfehlen würde und sogar zurückkehren würde, wenn möglich!
