“In the second half of 1800 with the arrival of the botanist Friedrich Dehnhardt redevelopment works were carried out, inside the wood came many plantations of particular and exotic origins, the perfect pruning of the present trees freed the view on the panoramic points, now there are many points where you can admire almost the whole city from above. Today's forest is full of green areas where you can relax, inside there is also a museum to visit with lots of art, many paintings from different eras. In the forest and in the museum many events are organized both during the week and at the weekend.”

Park
“The seafront is one of the most beautiful and characteristic places to walk. The gastronomic offer is vast even if I do not recommend any of these places as they are all fundamentally touristic: it is not the eating of Naples that will change your life here. It is pleasant for a walk in the evening or in the morning, breathing the sea air or entering Castel dell'Ovo.”

“One of the most exciting experiences by the shores of Posillipo: see Naples from the sea!”

Beach
“lido attrezzatissimo e di fianco a Palazzo Donn'Anna. Il mio luogo preferito perchè hai il Vesuvio che ti guarda, il pazzo che ti abbraccia lateralmente e la comodità di uno stabilimento balneare. Unico neo è un pochino caro anche perchè non puoi introdurre cibi o bevande dall'esterno. (Chiude presto. ore 17.00, come tutti i lidi in città)”

“ La Gaiola is a small island just off the coast of Posillipo, in Naples. The island, very close to the mainland, can be reached by swimming from the beach below the Parco del Virgiliano. Besides being an incredible marine paradise immersed in a submerged archaeological park, the Gaiola is one of the most beautiful places to go to the sea in Naples and also a place of mystery, cloaked in a macabre shadow. Protected Marine Area that extends from the village of Marechiaro to the Bay of Trentaremi. The area accessed through the aforementioned steps is the Integral Reserve Area of the Marine Protected Area of the Underwater Park of Gaiola. “Oltre alla bellezza del posto, la possibilità di fare il bagno o noleggiare una canoa, il posto è anche un' area marina protetta. Sui fondali del Parco, infatti, è possibile osservare i resti di porti, ninfei e peschiere attualmente sommersi.”
