Carolyn is the perfect hostess, full of local knowledge and very helpful! The location is excellent- less than 15 minutes drive to some beautiful beaches and a great base for walking the coastal paths. The garden loft is a very special place and we enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing break- it has everything you need and more: a hot shower for when you've been on a long walk, a beautifully landscaped garden to relax in if it's sunny and your own rec room with table tennis if it's not! Carolyn's obvious eye for design means it's a beautiful space to get away from it all. We also loved playing with the dogs and Mr Tibbs the cat- though the pets are so well behaved that if animals are not your thing then they will leave you alone. We will definitely visit again if in the same area!

My husband I had the most enchanting weekend at the garden loft. Carolyn was great. From greeting us with brownies on arrival, to being a fountain of the knowledge of the local area and also helping us out with the little extras. The loft is gorgeous, so quiet and full of character. Ik kan niet genoeg bedanken Carolyn voor zo vriendelijk en gastvrij, en voor het aanbrengen van dit juweeltje van een plaats op Airbnb! Het hok is geweldig. Het is licht, ruim, gezellig, en is uitgerust met alles wat u nodig heeft (en meer!). De locatie is prachtig, met het pand zelf zijn ongelooflijk rustig, maar met dat er zoveel te doen en te zien in het gebied, dat je niet kunt niet onder de indruk te zijn en vinden wat je hier nodig hebt. De plaatselijke stranden zijn prachtig (vooral Penbryn, met zijn boswandeling, Poppit Sands en Newport Sands), en het uitzicht vanaf het kustpad zijn adembenemend. Een paar stukken die ik in het bijzonder genoten van wandelen waren Llangrannog te Cwytydu en Moylegrove naar Newport. Als u niet wilt dat de terugreis te doen, is er een grote kust busdienst (Poppit Rocket tussen Cardigan en Fishguard en Cardi Bach tussen Cardigan en New Quay). Ik had de meest fantastische tijd, en de hele ervaring overtrof mijn verwachtingen in zoveel manieren. Carolyn echt gingen boven en buiten ... dank je wel! :)

We had the most relaxing few days in Carolyns lovely loft. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable and the space is just beautiful! There are lots of great places to visit nearby. Carolyn was a fantastic host, providing recommendations and advice when needed but giving us our own space to enjoy the peace. We hope to return soon!

Our stay at Oldhouse Cottage was perfect. Such a homely and well equipped cottage set in beautiful surroundings. We couldn't have wished for a better way to see in the new Year and will be definitely returning in 2017. The children loved the games room and we especially enjoyed the hot tub! The cottage has everything you need - better equipped than my kitchen at home - and John was always on hand to help us with advice. It was a fantastic few days. If anything - the pictures on here don't do the side of the cottage justice.

We had an amazing weekend at John and Hazels old house cottage, the cottage was clean and tidy, fully equipped with games, DVDs and had everything we needed to self cater. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in der Hütte, die gut ausgestattet war und nicht über einen TV (was toll war). Die Hütte hatten wifi, die ein echter Bonus war. Der Host bereitgestellt wirklich umfassende Information vor der Anreise. Einziger Wermutstropfen gibt es keine Kneipe zu Fuß erreichbar. Würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten.

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in der Hütte zu bleiben. Bei unserer Ankunft brannte das Feuer weg und im Radio gespielt wird, die sofort mit uns in gemacht absetzen und entspannt fühlen. Es war gemütlich und komfortabel und hatte alles, was wir dazu beitragen, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich erforderlich zu machen. Der Zugang zum Internet kam auch in praktisch! Ich würde einen Besuch auf jeden Fall empfehlen :)

Fantastisches Hotel. Cottage getan bis zu einem sehr hohen Standard mit all den kleinen Details darüber nachgedacht. Wirklich mochte die freundliche Hauch von beleuchteten Holzfeuer, Ostereier und Hot Cross Buns. Würde es jedem empfehlen!

Dies war der perfekte Ort für ein paar Tage von R & R ... eine idyllische und reizvolle Landschaft Hütte zu verbringen. Die Gastgeber gaben viele nützliche Informationen und gute Richtungen, die gut ist, wie Zell Empfang ein bisschen fleckig war, aber dann wieder das ist irgendwie der Punkt mit einem ländlichen Rückzug! Ty'r Gof ist malerisch, ruhig, und alles war für einen kleinen Ausflug benötigt ... Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder übernachten und auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Arrived later than planned to a lovely quaint cottage, lights on, fire made up ( not lit) fresh eggs and Welsh cakes. We had a lovely time exploring the area, lovely country walks with the dogs, trips to the beaches and we were treated by sightings of seals with their pups. A much needed relaxing break for us . The cottage is very comfortable and well equipt. Thank you for the wine too.

The cottage was very cosy, would love to stay during winter! It was very clean and tidy, supplying the essentials. Within the cottage is a book containing guests trips and tips which was very useful!

Was für eine himmlische Hütte! Fand es einfach und es war sogar noch besser als beschrieben. Schöne, flauschige Kissen und Decken, eine voll ausgestattete Küche und ein fantastischer Holzofen. Es war eigentlich recht geräumig und die Informationen über das Ferienhaus und die Umgebung war perfekt. Wir alle wollten länger bleiben!

Schöne, gemütliche Hütte. Ausgestattet mit allem, was wir brauchten, ohne überladen zu werden. War kalt bei der Ankunft aber bald aufgewärmt, sobald wir den Holzofen angezündet. Sowohl die Kinder und ich haben unseren Aufenthalt wirklich genossen und würden gerne wieder besuchen.

The yurt is a fantastic place to stay if you want to get away from it all and be out in nature for a while. I went on my own but it would also be lovely as a place for a couple to go. The yurt itself is comfortable and clean and the mini outdoor kitchen has everything you could need for a few days in the country. You're a short drive from beaches and coastal walks too. All in all, a great place to stay!

Perfect location, secluded and peaceful. An afternoon in the hammock by the stream is a must.

Myself and my friend decided to book here for a quiet weekend away and what a fantastic place! We got stuck in traffic so turned up late but Jake was there to meet us with a candle to show us to our cosy yurt, there was fire wood waiting to light inside and the place was clean and tidy. The outside cooking facilities were perfect and there was some tea and coffee for the morning. If you are looking for a quite secluded place then this would be perfect. I would definitely visit again and book in for some treatments they offer.

we arrived at the yurt pretty late, but let Jake know and he was very accomodating, meeting us when we arrived and showing us around. Upon waking in the morning we got a better opportunity to admire the surroundings of a huge idyllic meadow. The kitchen area was very tidy and helpful as everything we needed was there, we were able to make basic food for ourselves which adds a more personal touch. The yurt itself once warm is a very cosy environment and had everything we needed for a good rest. The shower was particularly reasonable for an outside facility and provided warm water in an ideal space, similary the toilet was a short walk away and had everything we needed. Jake was on hand to provide us with some extra wood and any other info we required! The location was brilliant and in 20 minutes (driving) you can find yourself at a selection of attractive beachside towns and get a feel of the welsh coast. There's also lots of choice to find lovely food or even cook something at your yurt. When the sun is shining a bbq is ideal and you can relax in front of the outside fire pit provided. Altogether we had a lovely weekend, a peaceful area and lovely host. Would recommend the small yurt to anybdy looking for a relaxing weekend away alone or with some company. thankyou jake:)

Diese Unterkunft ist ideal für Familien und alle anderen auf der Suche nach einem charaktervollen Ort, um auf diesem kleinen, aber perfekt geformten Bauernhof zu bleiben, mit Wald und Tal Spaziergänge vor Ihrer Haustür. Wir besuchten mit 3 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern im Alter von 3 bis 15. Die Kinder sind alle in der Stadt aufgewachsen und waren mehr oder weniger völlig vertraut mit der Landschaft. Sie erlebten große Freude, die Tiere auf dem Bauernhof zu treffen und mit den freundlichen Hunden zu spielen, die dort wohnen, was für sie eine völlig neue Erfahrung war. Die Unterkunft selbst ist eine Menge Spaß aus einem Einzelzimmer mit der Lounge, Küche und Essbereich, mit der Mezzanine oben mit dem größeren der Schlafzimmer. Für meine Neffen war das Aufstehen im Loftbereich der Scheune eine wirklich aufregende Erfahrung, mit ihnen sagen, dass die Unterkunft "krank" war (was in der Sprache der 16-Jährigen und jünger ist, so dass mir gesagt wird). Neben dem Loft-Bereich gibt es auch zwei Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss, eines mit zwei Einzelbetten und eines mit einem Doppelzimmer, das war gut für die Erwachsenen und auch so konnten wir unsere jüngste 3-jährige Nichte bei uns bleiben das Erdgeschoss. Der Badbereich befindet sich durch eine separate Tür an der Rückseite der Scheune und eingerichtet, um mehrere einzelne Toilettenkabinen und Duschkabinen sowie drei Waschbecken zu haben. Dies ist ein Godsend, wenn es darum geht zu versuchen, alle bereit zur gleichen Zeit zu bekommen, schließlich waren wir weg gegangen, um Zeit miteinander zu verbringen, nicht für den Klo! Insgesamt war das ein erfreuliches Erlebnis für die Erwachsenen und Kinder, und es gab ein paar glänzende Gesichter, um zu gehen - und das waren nur die Erwachsenen! Wenn wir etwas mehr Zeit hätten, hätten wir gern die Bushcraft und andere Outdoor-Aktivitäten ausprobiert, die die super-freundlichen Besitzer Gylnis und Stuart laufen lassen oder für dich arrangieren können. Wir hoffen, dass wir nächstes Mal wieder einige Aktivitäten machen werden.

Dies ist so ein schöner Ort, mit schönen Gastgebern. Es ist in einer wunderschönen Umgebung und hat so ein gemütliches Gefühl. Die Kinder und unser Hund liebten den Raum und liebten die Gelegenheit, Flasche Lilie das Kalb zu füllen und liebte Stöcke für Kate und Tilly die Farm Hunde.

Tolles kleines Hotel in toller Lage. Die Einrichtungen sind recht einfach, aber ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Es waren 4 Hunde, ein Kaninchen und Kühe vor Ort, die viel Spaß gemacht haben! Es gab sogar ein Baby Kalb, das Flasche fütterte! Gastgeber waren sehr hilfsbereit. Insgesamt eine tolle Erfahrung

The old cow shed is a perfect base for exploring the west coast of Wales. The accommodation is located on a small working farm and the children enjoyed meeting the cows and playing with the farm dogs. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. We weren't very lucky with the weather during our stay, so the log burner was very welcome in the chilly evenings. The old cowshed was very spacious for my family of five and would equally suit a large family or group of friends. The hosts, Glynis and Stu were really friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of tips for local places to visit. There is plenty to do in the local area. We Particularly enjoyed the dolphin watching boat trip from Newquay, visiting the waterfall at Cenarth and visiting the lovely little beaches at Llangranog and Aberporth. We also hired a canoe from Adventure Beyond on the river at Cardigan and went for a lovely family pony trek with Saddletramps in the hills overlooking Lampeter. All in all a great place for getting away from it all.

A great value escape! A great location from which to explore Wales. Being on a farm was amazing, the children who are usually a bit nervous around dogs were at home with Tilly and Kate, very gentle dogs. Glyn & Stew are great hosts, providing insight on the best beaches (Poppit's and Whitesands were beautiful) and local attractions (iron age village, St David's). Accommodation is homely with a log fire. We were all sad to leave!

Lovely, secluded spot. 15-20 minutes from Cardigan centre (shops, Tesco). Really nicely decorated and fitted cottage. High specification fixtures and fittings. Lovely under-floor heating. TV in all bedrooms. Easy parking. Wi-Fi (albeit slow - not the owners fault; Internet is slow in the entire area) is available. Highly recommended and we will likely be booking again!

Our stay at the Stable Barn was wonderful!! The cottage is in a lovely secluded spot with plenty of space around for our dog to run!! The Stable Barn is well equipped with everything one needs for a few days stay! We especially loved the underfloor heating downstairs and also the hot tub!!! Highly recommended!!!

We arrived late on Friday evening to be greeted by John . There was milk and little added extras to make you feel welcome. He also advised us on a locall pub for food and booked us a table which we greatly appreciated.

Beautiful location, easy to find, clean, modern, comfortable, and with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant stay. There is plenty of space, lots to do and see in the local area and the hot tub was the perfect addition. Would stay here again.

Although that was one night only during our motorbike trip, we can certainly recommend this place. The hosts were very welcoming, made us feel like at home, helped us organise our evening. The next day the breakfast with home-made treats was delicious. The house was beautiful, nice atmosphere inside, one could certainly feel there was much care put into it. If you're looking for a relaxing time in a beautiful area, this is a great place to stay.

Many thanks to Paul and Alex for making us most welcome. This was my wife's first ever B&B experience and if they are all like this it won't be our last. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was as plentiful as we wanted it to be.

Alex made us very welcome and even went so far as to give us a lift to the party we were going to nearby.

Both Alex and Paul were very welcoming, travelling alone is a bit daunting for me but I felt very at ease and very welcome. My dog too is quite an anxious being and she settled quite quickly. The single room is very spacious and the bed very comfortable. I was also very pleased with how clean the whole house is. Alex makes a lovely breakfast so I was very satisfied with. I live in a town so there is a constant humm of traffic and even with street lights turned off at midnight still substantial light pollution, Calon is in the country so it was dark and very very quiet, which I found made it peaceful and restful.

We were welcomed by Paul' s partner, Alex, who is very friendly and who cooked us a gorgeous breakfast. The house is in lovely countryside and we woke to a beautiful view. Also our dog received a warm welcome. The accommodation was clean and smart. Alex recommended a very good pub, The Daffodil in Penrhiwllan, which was marvellous, especially for gluten free. I would recommend Calon as a place to stay.

Theresa and Graham were wonderful hosts from the moment we booked our stay. On arrival we were immediately amazed at the location of the cottage and the beautiful views towards the Preseli Hills and surrounding areas of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. The cottage itself is cosy, modern and very spacious. The guest bedroom has two windows overlooking the gardens with beautiful views and the private bathroom is well equipped with a bath or shower option which is a nice touch. The nearest beach is only 20 minutes drive away and is a wonderful place to go for a walk along the coastal path or to just chill out and watch the waves from the sands. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and would definitely go again as there's so much to see. We're going to recommend it to friends also.

Ce sont des gens adorables; Toujours heureux de discuter et d'offrir des conseils sur la zone locale. La chambre était légère avec un lit très confortable et de belles vues sur les collines. Nous avons eu quelques repas délicieux dans la ville voisine et nous sommes rendus sur la côte qui était à une courte distance en voiture - nous recommandons absolument une visite à (venteuse) Strumble Head car les vues sont à couper le souffle. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons vraiment apprécié notre visite et nous espérons réserver notre prochain séjour avec Theresa et Graham bientôt!

Very nice couple which makes their own bread that you may have the chance to taste on the morning. They were very helpful when we wanted to find a place to have dinner late in the evening. The room is beautiful with a perfect bed and nice view. Many bath products at your disposal in your bathroom which is very nice. We highly recommend!

A truly magical setting , where you can totally relax and unwind. The hippy van is set metres away from a stream, and hammock . The veranda outside means you can spend evenings outside , as you are provided with enough wood and even a tutorial to build a fantastic fire and watch the bats darting around , and listen to the owls . Inside the van , you have everything you need to make it a really comfortable stay . The vase of woodland flowers and box of tea lights , make it a very lovely place to stay, above and beyond a camping trip.

The cottage is quite rural so definitely need a car to get to places, but within 15 minutes you're at some of the most beautiful beaches I've seen (recommend finding Penbryn beach), and lovely places to eat locally (we ate at the Ship Inn at Tresaith beach, and Tipi Pizza in Cardigan which were both great). The church across from the cottage is nice to walk to, and although it wasn't open when we got there, the view that you get across the valleys is beautiful. David was a great host, greeting us when he was home and there if we needed anything, but also letting us enjoy the peace and quiet on our retreat. Couldn't recommend Ty Twt more if you're looking to get away for a few days for some rest; thanks again for a great stay!

All we can say is what a fantastic little find. Could not have been happier with location, accommodation and hosts. It was a great relaxing break and lack of wifi and phone signal was a bonus as it give us time back as a family to play games and talk. Places that were suggested to us by David & Steph were also great places to visit and personally we all cannot wait to return.

We were made very welcome to Ty Twt. The cottage has all you need and is tucked away from the main house so has its own privacy. Despite the lack of phone signal, they offered to make table and taxi bookings. Life saver! The area is lovely and quiet, with great walks. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, so didn't walk much, but will definitely be back to see a lot more of the area. Very open to have dogs, as they have one of their own (Tubs) who is very friendly. We also left with a tub of raspberries from the garden.

Had a lovely weekend at the cottage, comfy and cosy set in the most gorgeous valley, the view! We really enjoyed sitting on the patio in the evening looking at stars with the fire pit going. Plenty to do and see (great beaches and coastal walks) nearby. Dave and Steph and really nice people!

Fantastic mini break for our little family. We were all....including a toddler and pug... made to feel very welcome. Stunning setting. Nice to be off the grid with. I phone reception etc. All the entertainment you could need with lots of ideas of what to do nearby, books, board games etc. We were very lucky with the weather so headed for nearby beach :). Thanks for being superb hosts especially as we only booked on the day!

Cottage was bigger than we had expected from looking at the photos, and we were provided with everything we needed to be self sufficient. Our hosts had a brilliant local knowledge and were able to help us with directions and also recommend things to do. I would highly recommend a stay!

We where geeted by Rob and his family with arms open very warm and lovely family , Just what you need after 3 hrs on the road , They where very helpful and thoughtful and attended to any of our needs after a long jurney thank you .

The Little Barn is fantastic! Set in a beautiful location, perfect to explore, relax and be inspired. The barn is a warm and cosy place to stay and equipped with great facilities (a comfy sofa, wood burner, power shower and a huge comfortable bed). You don't have to travel far to feel inspired and Rob and Angie are always on hand to suggest places to see. Rob and Angie were fantastic hosts and really made us feel at home throughout our stay.

No words, just lovely lovely lovely! Rob and Angie were such great hosts and are such beautiful people. We had an amazing stay in the house - it was so cozy, and just the type of place we needed to disconnect from our daily lives. It is truly a magical place - I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique travel experience. Would love to come back again!

The Little Barn (now Ty Nos) provides a wonderfully quiet and relaxing rural retreat with peace and quiet rarely found these days. The cottage was fully furnished and functional and the wood burning stove provided cosy evenings indoors. Our hosts Rob and Angie could not have been kinder or more helpful. Lovely people. I would recommend the Little Barn to anyone wanting a long or short stay in beautiful, peaceful, self-catering accommodation.

Thank you for a lovely stay! The cottage is beautiful and was bigger then we expected. also enjoyed a wonderful relaxing massage of Angie and a walk around the valley. saw many butterflies and a buzzard catching a frog. Would really recommend :)

What a beautiful place...I had been looking for somewhere that I could go with my 2 dogs to shut the world out for a few days, have no distractions like phone, internet, or TV..and I certainly found it. A gorgeous little cottage in beautiful surroundings. The cottage had everything that's needed, and the woodburner made it extra cosy. Rob and Angie (the owners) are lovely people and I felt the option was there for me to approach them for anything necessary, or just to say hello. As it was, I was seeking isolation for a few days to shut the world out and I felt that they respected my wish to retreat and other than to refill my log basket, I didn't see either of them until I left, even though the cottage is right next to their house. Next time I go into will explore the surrounding area and coastline... I will definitely be promoting this gorgeous little hideaway amongst my friends.
