Stayed here for a few months while I was attending school at the local College. Enjoyed my stay here very much. Quiet, clean, and has everything you need, for a great price. Would recommend to anyone, whether it's for a short or long stay.

This is a lovely, quiet apartment, tastefully furnished and decorated. It was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is very convenient for arrival from the airport or by car from the Blue Water Bridge from the US. The neighbourhood is quiet, but groceries and restaurants only a few minutes away . Marion was available by phone to provide assistance if necessary. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

We could not have had a better host, she was very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. She was available at all times to respond to any of our needs related to our stay.

My wife and I spent two days in Marion’s apartment and were delighted with it in every possible way. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing; its WiFi was excellent, we found the queen bed very comfortable and the deck quite enjoyable. The ground floor apartment is located on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. We parked our car right at our front door. Marion is a very accommodating and obliging hostess and helped us discover Sarnia. The only minor shortcoming was that, while Marion offered free access to Netflix, it was not possible to watch television. We will not hesitate to return to Marion’s nice apartment and will recommend it to our friends and relatives.

Good quality accommodations. Everything is brand new. Spotless. I stayed for 3 nights and could have used a firmer mattress. Very well situated near main Rd and the apartment was very quiet to outside noise.

We definitely enjoyed staying at Robert's home. It is a very comfortable basement apartment which is well equipped and very quiet. It certainly met our needs and I would definitely plan to go back. Highly recommended.

The house was in a perfect location close to all the restaurants and downtown Port Huron. Our Host was amazing, she was in constant contact with me to make sure everything was running smooth. The house was very clean and cozy. You truly have everything you need for you stay, it was truly a pleasure to have stay at this house.

Jennifer was accommodating to our last minute reservation needs (thank goodness.) The house decor is adorable, I wish we could've spent more time here. The food suggestions were right on point!! We got to try the pizza at Pompellis, Ice Cream at The Vault, The Chicken at The Palms Bar, and ate breakfast at Nick's Four Roses!!! ❤ If we ever venture back to Port Huron we will for sure stay in one of Jennifer's properties again.

This place was beautiful. My boyfriend and I went up there with my parents, and had a lovely day/night in. Spent it barbecuing a nice dinner, having some wine, and just hanging out. It was everything we expected and more, and even though it rained the whole time we were there, I couldn't have pictured a better place to spend a rainy day. Sad we didn't get to use the lovely fire pit at the back, but there's always next time. Check-in was great. Kevin met us there at 4pm as discussed, walked us through and showed us / provided us with everything we needed. He was very accommodating and understanding and did everything he could to ensure we had a great stay. The place was spotless, fully stocked kitchen and great bedrooms. The loft in the woods is in the perfect location...very close to the flea market which unfortunately we didn't have time to check out, 10 minute drive to Main St, just down the road from the Pinery Provincial Park, and close to multiple beaches. We would definitely stay there again, and the only thing we would do different is book more days. Thanks again Kevin for everything you did for us. GREATLY appreciated!!

We had a lovely time at Loft in the Woods! Peaceful and relaxing. Kevin checked us in when we arrived and showed us how everything worked and where everything was. The location was great, close to the Pinery for nature and just an hour away from Stratford where we enjoyed some world class theater! We definitely recommend Loft in the Woods to anyone wanting to stay in the Grand Bend area!

Nous avons été reçu par Kevin. Il a été super accueillant. Comme notre anglais n'est pas parfait, il a été très compréhensif et ça n'a pas semblé un problème pour lui. Nous avons voyagé avec nos 2 filles de 8 et 11 ans. Le logement est super propre, les lits très très confortables. Nous avons dormi tard le matin et ce fut vraiment reposant. Nous avions tout le nécessaire pour passer 4 jours. Nous avions apporté nos vélos; la piste cyclable passe devant la maison alors, facile pour les enfants d'y accéder et sécuritaire. Grand Bend est à environ 5-10 minutes. À découvrir : Ipperwash Beach, à environ 15 minutes. Le lac est peu profond, il n'y a que du sable et on peut louer des paddleboards tout près.Nous avons stationné notre voiture à l'entrée 4. Aucun point négatif pour cette maison. Nous la recommandons à tous.

The accommodations were in a fantastic location surrounded by parkland and close to Grand Bend. Loft was clean and well maintained with many amenities included. Would love to see a comfy sofa in the living area to cuddle up with a good book and enjoy the beautiful view. The hosts were great and always available.

What a great place to stay. Kevin greeted us upon arrival and was very welcoming. The loft itself is immaculate and charming. We both felt right at home. The highlight of our visit was that we were able to have a nice little bonfire and roast some marshmallows. Thank you for having us, and we hope to be back soon!

Reserve this loft right away! It is absolutely stunning and the hosts are more than welcoming and accommodating. Everything is clean and well-taken care of by the hosts. The loft is even more beautiful than the pictures of it and it has everything you could ever want! Kevin was very prompt with his replies, which put us at ease when we had some last minute questions. We will definitely be looking to book this location again when we need some time away from the city. I would absolutely recommend you stay here as well.

My experience was wonderful in Royal Oak at Ron's home ! The pictures do not do his place justice, there is so much more to see. Ron was available anytime we reached out and whenever there were any technical difficulties he made sure to fix it that day. He was pleasant and very knowledgeable on the life in Royal Oak, we will definitely stay at his place again when we're in town.

Ton was an excellent host. He made sure he was able to meet us even though our arrival time changed. The space was exactly as depicted in the ad, clean and tastefully decorated. The sheets were clean and the towels were fresh and SOFT! The apartment in located in a multi unit neighborhood minutes from all Royal Oak has to offer. This loft was nicer than staying in a hotel, especially for the price. There is ample space, cable, Internet, an office area, dining area, and cozy living room. The bed is spacious and comfortable. The location is a little bit difficult to find at night time, but during the day it's an easy find. The apartment is nicely renovated, but the bathroom was a bit outdated. The place looks exactly like the photos. The soap dispensers in the shower are a nice touch, though. There is central heating which made our stay very comfortable, but it can get a bit noisy. Overall, a fantastic place to stay. You'll feel right at home!

Bill and Sue are wonderful hosts. They are very kind and thoughtful. There if you need them but also allow you to enjoy your sray in private. The accommodations were very clean and cute. The area is very very quiet and only a short drive into grand bend. Such a friendly little location.

This wonderful Townhome nestled blocks away from Historic Downtown Rochester is the ideal spot when in the Detroit Area.

John's apartment was an excellent place for us to stay while visiting our son in the area. The well stocked kitchen provided the necessary gear for my wife to make a few home cooked meals for my son, the cozy living room was a comfortable place to hang out and visit with the bright, bay windows. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked, plenty of extra towels. John was a conscientious host who notified us in advance that some windstorms had caused a power outage. He went the extra mile to make sure the house was ready, even bringing over a generator to do the cleaning to have it ready. We would gladly stay here and with John again on a future trip.

This apartment is truly wonderful - there is space for at least 4 people, but I had it just for myself. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! There was water, orange juice and wine waiting for me on my arrival day as well as coffee for the Keurig machine and other amenities. The area couldn´t be any better and I would definitely love to come back!

Beautiful, stylish apartment. Has everything you would need.... 2 Comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms (one with a walk in shower) , full kitchen, a Keurig coffee maker (important on my list) , 2 TVs, and it's close two several restaurants and stores. This was our first experience with Airbnb and we loved having our little apartment to go back to each night. We enjoyed it so much we spent a whole day there just relaxing. John was very prompt in answering any questions we had. He really is a super host. We highly recommend this place.

We had a great stay at this relaxing farm retreat. Ruth and Arn are kind and friendly and we enjoyed the tour of the barn and all the cute miniature farm animals. The rooms were very clean and Ruth's cooking was delicious. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to get out of the city and have a laid back country experience. Thank you!

Sheer perfection! My husband and I were lucky enough to spend the night at Ruth's humble abode. Our expectations were exceeded! Not only did we enjoy a FABULOUS(!) home-cooked breakfast that our lovely host was only too pleased to prepare for us along with clean, spacious accommodations and a tour of the wee animals, we were greeted with homemade treats upon our arrival and she provided us with snacks for our long road trip ahead! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Dee & Lou are excellent hosts. They met me as soon as I arrived and gave me a tour of the apartment. It was delightfully furnished in an Art Deco style. The pink kitchen cabinets were striking and very unusual. But as I learned there decorating style that became a fun part of the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, refrigerater and an breakfast table. The bedroom was adequate. A little cramped but it was great for sleeping. The living room was very nice with some wonderful art. Dee & Lou were great hosts. They were on site if you needed anything. They also were very cordial and invited me to sit with them for a libation. I would highly recommend Dee & Lou and their property.

Wonderfully decorated apartment, spacious for 2. VERY well stocked with amenities and sundry items. If you forget to pack something, don't fret, they probably already have it here. Toiletry items, basic food items, refrigerator items and a well stocked kitchen with all you need are here. A park on the St. Clair River is within walking distance (even for me!) and can be seen from the property. A private picnic/BBQ area is right next to the apartment. I'm sorry the weather (cold/rain) prevented me from enjoying these two things. Absolutely gorgeous wood ceilings, walls & floors decorated in a artsy/retro style. Great communication pre-booking/check-in and during stay. I hope to be back soon.

I would highly recommend Dee and Lou's Place. The owners are on site and gracious hosts. The place was well stocked with thoughtful extras. Its is comfy for one, cozy for two. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxed spot to stay this is the place for you.

Wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt. Alles war wie beschrieben, und war eine einfache Check-in / out.

Perfektes Wochenende perfekt in Detroit bleiben! Cozy Sauber fühlt sich wie zu Hause! Ich will nur Suzanne Räume für die Zukunft mit AirBnB mieten. Es war sehr angenehm überraschend ... Wenn dieser Raum offen Buch!

Der Ort war nicht das, was wir von den Bildern erwartet. Wir haben nicht sicher fühlen mit der Backdoor leicht geöffnet werden kann. Es schien, als die die Vordertür wurde von Holz Shims in dem Türrahmen gehalten. Die erste Nacht des Aufenthalts wir hörten Schüsse ein paar Mal durch die Nacht. Viele der Häuser in der Nachbarschaft wurden mit Brettern vernagelt und verlassen werden. Doch Suzanne war super nett und super hilfsbereit. Wir würden wahrscheinlich nicht wieder hier übernachten, aber die Güte von Suzanne zu schätzen wissen.

Wunderbarer Ort zu bleiben, wenn Detroit besucht. Vielen Platz, schönen Porzellan und ein neu gestaltetes Badezimmer! Und überprüfen Sie war es so einfach! Werde auf jeden Fall wieder bei meinem nächsten Besuch in der Gegend sein.

Suzannes kleines Haus ist die authentische Bleibe für alle Detroitreisenden. Wir waren zu zweit dort, es bietet aber Platz für 5 Gäste. Auch die kleine Veranda vor dem Haus, die wir mit der Hauskatze teilten, hat uns gut gefallen. Trotz Buslinie in fußläufiger Entfernung empfehlen wir die Unterkunft für Gäste mit eigenem Auto, da Detroit allgemein sehr weitläufig ist und die Unterkunft recht weit außerhalb liegt.

Dies war unser zweites Mal bei Suzanne Hause zu bleiben. Suzanne ist ein toller Gastgeber! Wir wussten, dass wir die gleiche tolle Erfahrung haben dieses Mal, so dass wir sehr aufgeregt waren sie nach Hause, um zu sehen für unseren Aufenthalt zur Verfügung stand. Das Haus ist komfortabel, einzigartig, und zuvorkommend. Wir freuen uns auf Suzanne Heim auf unserer nächsten Reise zu bleiben!

Diana is probably one of the most welcoming individuals I've ever met. I could literally sit and talk with her for hours. She was/is very hospitable. When you stay with her, you're family. The comfort from either her or her loving and friendly canine companion, Roscoe will surely make you want to hang around a couple more days. She's very knowledgeable about the area. I feel I not acquired a place to stay but as well a new friend. Which is awesome because I'm relocating to this state where I'm gonna need some friends. I'd recommend her to anyone. I've actually extended my stay and probably going to extend it a little longer than I originally planned. I really couldn't thank God enough for Airbnb and Diana for assisting me during my time of need, because this was literally my first actual stay using the solution. Paul and Kathryn's home and farm are really wonderful. They were very communicative and accommodating - check-in time was very flexible. When we arrived, they were both happy to show us around their farm. We were shown how to milk a cow and introduced us to all the animals which was such a unique experience. The space itself is basic but comfortable and a great value. The host provided coffee, fresh eggs from the farm, some other breakfast food, and shampoo and soap in the bathroom. I really appreciate these kinds of amenities as they always makes my stay a bit more comfortable even if they don't get used. Thanks again Paul and Kathryn!

A very sweet, welcoming family with a charming space to stay. The hobby farm was a unique experience that we really enjoyed! Very close to Rondeau Park where we hiked and viewed various birds, deer and other wildlife.

Very nice and clean place

This was by far the best experience of travel accomidation I have ever had! Kayla's place was in a quiet and easy to find neighborhood which was still only fractions of a mile from the necessities of any traveler: grocery shops (Kroger and Meijer less than half a mile away), movies, restaurants, and specialty shops. The place itself was amazingly clean, equipped with almost anything you could ask (food was stocked in the fridge and cupboards as far as staples, there was a TV with an HDMI converter for laptops, a plug for the stereo to connect my mo3 player, and even plenty of closet space with clean towels and extra sheets readily available). Hands down I would stay at Kayla's place any time I go to Michigan. Hotels cannot even compare to the comfort and simplicity that came with having my own little apartment in the heart of the Detroit Metro area. Not to mention that Kayla was on top of communication like moths on lights. Any email sent was promptly replied to in minutes, even late at night!!! THANKS KAYLA!!! You rock.

Johannas "Sunny basement apartment" ist ein wunderbarer Ort um sich wohlzufühlen!! Johanna und ihre Familie haben mir auch in diesem Jahr wieder einen sehr herzlichen Empfang bereitet und ich habe mich sofort Zuhause gefühlt. Das Appartement liegt sehr zentral, in einer ruhigen und sehr hübschen Wohngegend in Royal Oak, ist sehr liebevoll ausgestattet und bietet alles, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt in Michigan benötigt. Vielen lieben Dank für die tolle Zeit bei Euch!!! Ich komme nächstes Jahr sehr gerne wieder :)

Our stay in Johanna's apartment was delightful. The apartment is recently renovated and tastefully decorated with a few fun art pieces hanging on the walls. It's a rather large one bedroom that is well appointed and spotless - exactly as advertised. As it is a basement apartment, you might hear some noises from the upstairs in the morning and the entrance is through the home's front door (to a separate stairwell to the basement with a door that can be locked), but none of this was a problem for us. Johanna was incredibly accommodating to our late arrival, and her and her family couldn't have been nicer. This was my first airbnb stay, and it has definitely set a high bar for future hosts. 5 stars for sure!

What a great place - a large basement apartment that was cozy and comfortable! My husband and I were in Detroit for a wedding and found Johanna and Tosh's home to be very welcoming - there was apple cider and fresh donuts there when we arrived! It was easy to find from the airport and you're a short walk (about 25 minutes) to the town of Royal Oak. We had breakfast at Cafe Muse - we highly recommend it! However, if you wanted to cook, the kitchen is well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the show was fabulous. If you're thinking of staying in the Detroit area, I highly recommend staying in 'The Purple House'!

I had a great stay at Johanna's place. After being in a frozen place that I rented on Airbnb as well I cancelled and move to her place. I finally could rest properly there. It's a really cozy and neat place that you definitely want to rent!

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious space at Johanna's. It was clean, private, and very comfortable. We quite enjoyed our stay and I can see why Johanna is a super host! She thoughtfully left us some breakfast items and was warm and welcoming.
