Park
“If you are keen to spend some of your time further afield in the mountains then a guided trip to the reindeers up on the Cairngorms is a joy. You will join a party of walkers and a guide or two with enough lichen and food to entice the reindeer and spend some precious time in their company. Pleasant walk, great views, great animals. For those less able or with less time the Reindeer Centre at Glenmore has an enclosure to see some up close and learn a little more about reindeers and their time in Scotland. ”

“The Hermitage offers a great walk of around 2km which shows off an excellent stretch of the river Braan. There is parking and a mobile catering unit in summer. The waterfall is incredible and the paths are good. It takes around 20mins to get there by car, from Stanley. It is just off the A9 heading north. ”
