Park
“Oaks Bottom is Portland’s first wildlife refuge, and a Sellwood favorite. The nature trail skirts a natural floodplain where you can see a variety of wildlife including deer and all sorts of migrating birds! Hikers can descend into the refuge itself, and those who need more accessibility can stay in the upper park and enjoy the view! Senna and I run down here pretty frequently. ”

“Down here you can get up close and personal with the river. There is a dog park down here so expect lots of happy pups running. Picnics are more reliable on the beach or at the upper park”

Playground
“Seven blocks east of us, this park has a lot of opportunity. The play area for kids is fantastic, the nature walk is great, there are fields and picnic benches as well as strolls through newly revitalized salmon habitat. Migrating birds are frequently around and it is a big enough park that including it in a run is great!”
