The biggest park in town, near the confluence of the Roaring Fork and the Colorado. Plenty of space for picnicking, playing, and sunbathing! There is also a playground. The city also hosts outdoor concerts here in the summer--check online for dates.

The valley's great connector is its 40+ mile bike path, the Rio Grande Trail. Great for casual walks, too. From our house, go west on 8th Street (toward downtown) all the way until you reach the Roaring Fork River (you'll see (Farnum Holt Funeral Home on your right--it's about a 10 minute walk or 3-minute bike ride). There you'll be able to hop onto the trail.
