Amazing large national park about 45 minutes from Paris by train. Nice routes (e.g. from Bois-le-Roi to Fontainebleau; I can give you the map) routes for a day-hike. Also famous for rock climbing!

One of the most stunning spots in Paris for the views. Climb to the top (300 stairs) for the best views in Paris! (Avoid the restaurants in the areas: the business model is to relieve foreigners of their money with mediocre-at-best food.)
