Outdoor activities around the neighborhood
1) Green Lake Park: (10-12min walk from house) One of Seattle's most favorite parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood, draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. Go for a walk or run on 2.8-mile path around the lake. Great for boating, picnics and swimming
2) Ravenna Park: (5min walk, access from 15 Ave) The ravine is the central feature of Ravenna Park. Formed from melt-off from Vashon Glacial Ice Sheet. Walking through it you can almost forget that you're in the middle of a city. Recommended for shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing”)
