This trail goes around the mountain. The views are amazing because you can see the Rocky Mountains and the Plains. It is dog friendly, but very hot in the summer.

This has 2 trails. One trail is for mountain biking and the other trail for hiking and horseback riding. Sorry... no dogs allowed. It is fun to hike and then go into Lyons for refreshments at Oskar Blues.

Carter Lake is very close. It is a nice place to watch the sunset. The lake has a walking trail on the west side that is quiet early morning. Dogs love this trail if you can let them cool off on a hot day.
