A really special experience. Longman is delicious...everything on the menu. Also, so much whiskey. My friend Chad works at the bar...It's hard to get a table, though, and I don't think they take reservations, but it's worth the wait.

I go here almost everyday, but they are closed on Tuesdays. This place has the cheapest coffee in the neighborhood ($2 hot OR iced!), delicious breakfast items (the frittata!!!), and sub sandwiches to die for. They also have lasagna, deli salads and it's currently the closest place to the BNB for groceries. They have lots of delicious specialty and organic items and the produce is totally reasonable.

Oh Dunleys....because I have a toddler I always end up here. They are SO family friendly, but you still feel like a cool grown up. The brusslesprout salad is what I get everytime, but they have killer brunch, too. Rarely a wait for a table and a nice outdoor area, too. I always get my Bloody Mary with cucumber vodka and it comes with a High Life chaser.

The brusslesprout salad is what I get everytime, but they have killer brunch, too. Rarely a wait for a table and a nice outdoor area, too. I always get my Bloody Mary with cucumber vodka and it comes with a High Life chaser.
The best Mexican food. The best. Like, line out the door best. Get the Gringo or the Gringa. Damn...it's so good.

It's hard to just call this a restaurant. Their food is great, but they have an amazing outdoor space with fire pits and bacci ball and drinks from a little camper. There are heat lamps and blankets so try it even if it feels a little too cold. They are so kid friendly, often having really great events and activities for the whole family. It took me a while to warm up to the vibe here, but it's now one of my faves. Also, their brunch buffet is delicious and a great value if you wanna just sit and eat and drink for a few hours. It's a sports bar for people that hate sports bars, so they will have "the game" on.

This place is upstairs from Slippery Slope...you have to go inside to get into it. It's totally hidden...and totally awesome. It's like walking into the classiest of 1970's fantasies, with drinks to match. You can get a mudslide here. It's not like TGIFridays...It's so swank, be sure to wear some gold lame.

This is a classic Chicago package store with a bar in the back, but the bar has been upgraded from gross dive bar to moderately nice. Sometimes they have live music. It's a cool place.

Parks & Nature
Humboldt Park is a beautiful, sprawling park with playgrounds and a super secret beach! You wont be over run with tourists at this cute little pond beach. The water is filtered and clean. You can get amazing popsicles and elotes from the street vendors! There's also a cafe, the Boathouse Cafe, that has great food and drinks! Sometimes they have bands play.

This is a beautiful restored art deco theater with budget tickets and a good bar...you can take your drinks into the theater. It's the only place I'll go see a movie
