Previously ranked the #1 market in Texas, Mckinney Farmers Market at Chestnut Square is a market you will want to return to time and time again. In addition to our variety of vendors offering local, grass fed beef and free range chicken, you’ll also find specialty items such as tamales, pastries, jerky and so much more. Another unique feature to the Chestnut Square Market is the wide selection of arts and crafts vendors who offer everything from locally made goat milk soap to wood turned bowls. New this year is ART IN THE MARKET where a local artisan will demonstrate his or her skills. Potters, painters and a wide variety of artisans will offer free demonstrations every Saturday morning in the Chapel garden. Live music, face painting and pony rides are always a treat and available every Saturday. •2016 Summer season kicks off on April 2nd 2016, 8am-12n at Chestnut Square.

Rancher Owned, Local Goods Market - they're not Yokels~ Yokel \'yō-kǝl\ •(according to Webster): a naïve or gullible inhabitant of a rural area or small town. •(according to us): a slave to the industrial model of producing cheap, nutrient-deprived food. Yocal \'yō-kǝl\ •A knowledgeable, progressive cousin to the yokel. •Farmer/rancher defying mainstream agricultural production, using sustainable practices to restore health in our food supply It's a fun shop!
