Food scene

Yuki Yama is a some what of a traditional style izakaya (bar) serving about 12 patrons at a time with a small yet precise menu. order a beer or sake and get a seat where ever you can find one, the ambiance is great but the food is where Yuki Yama really shines. Be sure to ask what their schedule is as it changes seasonally though, they are always open friday-sunday. Also due to the pandemic they are only serving take out at this time.

Local Walks/Hikes:

Canyon Creek Trail is just steps from the Hideout. The easiest way to find it is to take a right out the driveway onto Miller Way and then Right on Cayon View. You will come to a view of Mt Baker and the Canyon Creek drainage in about 1/4 mile. follow it downstream to the Nooksack and find different spur trails off the main trail. Horseshoe Bend Trail is 1.8 miles east of Glacier on Hwy 542. The trailhead is on the right side of the road after you cross the bridge over the Nooksack. This trail is mostly flat, following the Nooksack river as it meanders. Round trip distance is 2.4 mil
