Some of the best food in area. Limited seating so make reservations well in advance. Owner sometimes gets his musical MOJO going at end of evening. A little pricier.... but most definitely worth it.
Gator Fans must check out all of the UF paraphernalia on the walls. Owners Father held the distinction of holding the record for most points scored (108) in a single season for over 44 years. He later became UofF's Athletic Director.

Best Pizza around the area.... they always have a couple wine (bottle) specials. Eat in or out....very fair prices, great place to catch the game on one of their many TV's. We love this place.

Dry Falls (Upper Cullasaja Falls) is a 65' waterfall with an improved walk/trail and steps to base of the falls. You can actually walk behind the falls. Very picturesque. On the way to Highlands or Franklin, NC. Also see nearby Bridal Veil Falls.

We drove right by it, didnt know it was there until I put this guide together.... now we have to go see it too. And, yes, you can slide down the cascade rock face.

Silver Run Falls is a 25 ' set of falls. It has limited parking along Hwy 107 a couple miles south of the crossroads of Cashiers. It is accessed by an easy .25 mile hike. There is a second falls above Silver Run that fewer folks know about.

Gorges State Park Visitor Center has great exhibits for all ages. The park has numerous hiking trails of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty. Several lead to beautiful waterfalls.

Strike up with a conversation with owner/artist David Berger, he can discuss each of the artists and their work or veer off into a discussion on the best place to fly fish for trout or his hand tied lures. Also a great place to purchase pottery to commemorate your visit to the mountains (made by your host...me).
