Famous for its tall spire on it’s beautiful cathedral, Salisbury is full of history, head for the cathedral close and visit one of the museums or Mompesson House which is often used for filming. Salisbury has a large open air market on a Tuesday and Saturday. There are many restaurants and cafes to suit all. The ancient sites of Stonehenge and old Sarum are also within a short driving distance.

Neighbourhoods

Semley is close to a variety of places. The village itself houses a vibrant community village shop, supplying lots of local produce. It has an on site coffee shop and provides excellent lunchtime snacks, tea and cake. The village green has a small pond and the popular local pub is opposite. The Benett Arms provides good pub grub and supplies local ales on draught if that’s your thing! Church farm on the green also has a dairy shop selling its own milk fresh to the public. The church is also worth a visit to view it’s lovely stained glass windows. Semley is walkable by road if you fancy a walk ( be warned it’s uphill to return) but only 5 minutes by car. There are many other walks locally too using footpaths, details of which can be found in the property.
