FOOD & DRINK

This is just the tip of the iceberg. The Waterbury/Stowe area has amazing restaurants.
Cozy pub in Waterbury Village. Great food and Vermont-centric beer list. They're doing a really good job with their indoor dining during COVID. Though not necessary, we'd recommend making a reservation. Pro Tip: Let the waitstaff pair beers with your courses. You won't be disappointed.

One of the (if not the) best restaurants in Vermont. You'll definitely need a reservation. Consider booking one well before your stay. They do takeout, but we can't say how well it translates. Pro Tip: Cheese!!

Great no frills sandwich shop in Stowe (I guess you already know that by the name). Our favorite is the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Pro Tip: Order, then run over to Alchemist and grab a 4-pack of Focal Banger (yes, we said Focal Banger).

BREWERIES

We love beer and Vermont is a beer-lover's paradise. This is only a few nearby options. If you want a more extensive/customized brewery tour, we're happy to give you a ton of recommendations.
It can be argued that Alchemist created the New England IPA. This is 10 minutes down the road and their drive-up system is an easy way to pick up a 4-pack fresh from the source.

If Austrian-style beers are your thing, this place is for you. They have a huge outdoor space with views of Stowe. If you're at a loss for what to get, we recommend a Helles and a pretzel.

SKIING

Our house is centrally located between some of the best skiing in Vermont. Stowe is right down the road, yes, but all four mountains are within a 40-minute drive.

THE OUTDOORS

If you take a left out of the house on Gregg Hill and drive about two miles down the road, you will see a spot on the side of the road to pull off just as the road bends east. There is a short hike that will lead you to the reservoir for some great views (and swimming in the summer).

Go for a morning hike in the conservation land just outside the front door. It's a pretty special place because of how unknown it is. Let us know if you're interested and we'll be happy to give you directions.

Have A Designated Driver

You’re coming to have a good time, and we encourage you to do so. But, please be responsible. Cabs, Ubers and/or Lyfts are not widely available in our area. If you’re going brewery-hoping, or for a night out in town, please plan ahead and designate a driver. The safety of you and our neighbors is important to us.

Snow Tires

There are a lot of dirt roads in our area. While not a must, snow tires can be really helpful in the winter.

Layers & Good Boots

The weather changes often and weather apps don't always seem to be able to keep up. We recommend people pack plenty of layers and a good pair of waterproof shoes.
