If The Old Mill is looking quite busy try the next best option, the restaurant across the street! They have an online waitlist and it can save you hours in the busy season. My favorite is the club sandwich and potato soup.

Sightseeing
Anakeesta at sunset is truly one of the most magical places. We saw a bear, an engagement and a gorgeous sunset all within 10 minutes. Not joking!! They have good food options and truly some of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend waiting until dark to walk the tree top trail. Also, taking the bus up the mountain saves a lot of time. If you take the bus back down I’d get in line no later than 8 pm or you’ll wait a while. (We aren’t fans of chairlifts)

THE best spot for a picnic. It’s so peaceful and lots of fun to play on the giant boulders.

Go take a picture next to the queen herself! It’s close to the cabin and I feel like most people don’t get a chance to see this or know about it.

Great spot to shop and eat for all ages. They have a pretty walkway as well and it’s decorated during Christmas time.

This is a great place and our 2nd favorite (next to chimney picnic area) for a spot to eat. They have a memorial from the fires in 2016 and it’s just a beautiful park.
