How to say “Hello, how are you?”
Despite what Hollywood says Bahamians don’t say “Ya Mon”. This is Jamaican and may leave a bad taste of said to a local Bahamian. Instead use the phase “Had go”. This is a Bahamian phase that most Bahamian use. If you are uncomfortable, just saying “Hello, how are you?” Is always accepted.

When you are looking to get around one of our 700 islands and cays. You may have noticed that there is no Ubers. No worries you can still get around with taxis. I suggest once you find a taxi driver you like, get their phone number to call them for the next ride.
