Fantastic hiking, biking, & equestrian
trails through the redwoods. Trailhead on Skyline, near cottage. I recommend the Skyline Trail for beginners, and Crystal Springs Trail for intermediate hikers.

More gorgeous hiking in the redwoods. Trailhead close to the cottage. I recommend the Soda Gulch Trail for seasoned hikers.

Drive to Skeggs Point, then walk to the entrance across the street. Check out the sandstone formations, which are about 4 miles in. Some elevation, but a pretty easy hike.

Wunderlich is reachable through the Skyline Trail, after about 7 miles. This is my route when I want a nice long hike, but don't want all the elevation changes.

If you're bringing your road bike, a favorite route for many is up Kings Mountain Road, and then down Tunitas, to the coast. You can go along Skyline too, but there's a lot more traffic.
