Sightseeing

A major tourist attraction in Brussels, yet it is also my alltime favorite. The iconic steel structure gives you the impression of being inside a spaceship and hosts a permanent exhibition with plenty of photos and videos of its construction in 1958. Good restaurant in the top sphere, make sure you book in advance, and a real cool souvenir shop with plenty of vintage items.

Parks & Nature

Considered the most beautiful park of Brussels, Park Josaphat was named after the blooming Josaphat Valley close to Jerusalem by a homecoming pilgrim. It is dedicated to the memory of Brussels artists and you find beautiful statues of poets, musicians and painters at every corner. The kids love the rabbits, ducks, donkeys and the playground, plenty of benches and a small snack bar invite for a break. In summer the local community organizes Apero Josaphat on Friday evenings, feel free to ask my neighbors for more information upon checkin.
