Located in Bell Chase which is a 20 minute drive from my home but sooo worth it! $32 for all you can eat boiled crawfish (when in season), shrimp, dungeons crab, Jonah claws, potatoes, corn, garlic, and mushroom. For those visiting the city for the first time. Google crawfish boil for a visual presentation. This place is worth the drive!

Best Po-boys in the city! My favorites are the large mixed catfish and shrimp po-boy with extra american or cheddar cheese! I also love the surf and turf its messy but so delicious! Its usually busy but so worth it! It's also located a block from St. James bayou. If its around 6 pm or so when the weather is milder I take my po-boy and my beverage and enjoy my meal by the bayou... I am a true NOLA girl

Open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, including holidays! Beignets are french donuts and are so tasty. They also sell my favorite chicory coffee. They only take cash. So bring a $20 and eat up. An order of beignets is about $3 (which is 3 of them). Its in walking distance if your going to the french quarter.

Lots of clubs to hear live jazz and great music. This is my go to place when I am in town. I prefer Frenchman over bourbon street. Its cleaner and has a more mature crowd. There are so many clubs to go into to enjoy live music and adult beverages. There is also a brass band that plays on the street and they are awesome! They are just some locals having fun and take tips. Great place to have fun like us locals do. Take an uber or lyft so you can have fun and not worry about parking. And don't worry if you want to get touristy bourbon street is about 5-6 blocks away!

Local clothing and shot shops all down this street. New Orleans endorses locally owned places over big box stores. If you have time during the day take a walk down the street and discover authentically made clothing and shoes by local designers. Some of the stores only make a limited amount of the same articles so that you stand out.
