Really close to our house. A 1 mile+ walking path around a chronological wall of Tennessee history. Adjacent to Nashville Farmer's Market and (indoor) food court, including Jeni's Ice Cream & Bella pizza. Great view of the State Capitol which is walkable from the park if desired.

A winery/vineyard about 45 minutes South of town. Great for an afternoon/evening picnic and relaxation. Music on the weekends. BYOFood, buy wine there. Can couple with a visit to Historic Downtown Franklin if have nothing but time!
