Parks & Nature
The Phoenix area offers exceptional hiking! The views are stunning, especially at sunset.
Dogs are not allowed to travel with you on the hikes on any day with 100 degree or more temps, even if you carry them.
There are 2 trails - both challenging, but not overwhelming. Be sure to take lots of water, and don't attempt if more than 100 degrees out! Great place to go at sunrise!

A tough but rewarding hike just a short drive from Old Town. The views here are epic, and absolutely worth the work!!

Some really cool and fun trails just down the road. The Papago's are home to some great views of the entire valley and are a fairly easy hike in and out. Great place for mountain biking too!

Great day trip, bring lots of water and proper gear. I recommend bringing a phone with GPS, or at least have a fairly good sense of direction. Totally worth the drive!

Great zoo - hard to believe it sits in the middle of the desert! Great exhibits. Be sure to check out the festival of lights in winter!! Absolutely epic
