There is a great little children's play area and splash pad (Village Green Park) located within walking distance behind the library at 291 Lodar Street. Many walking and hiking trails within walking or a short drive (Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum (hosts Music at Fieldcote - free community concerts on Sunday's in the summer), Robert E. Wade Community Park, Hermitage Gatehouse, Griffin House National Historic Site, Ancaster Fair Ground events, Carluke Apple Orchards, many golf courses and driving ranges.
