The Goðafoss (Icelandic: waterfall of the gods or waterfall of the goði) is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. It is located in the Bárðardalur district of North-Central Iceland at the beginning of the Sprengisandur highland road. It is about one hour drive from Akureyri.
Mývatn is a lake near about 1,5 hours drive from Akureyri. The lake was formed during a massive eruption 2300 years ago. Today the area is best known for the huge numbers of birds that visit in the summer, and for the weird and inspiring volcanic features that surround the lake.

Aldeyjarfoss is one of most impressive waterfalls on the Skjálfandafljót River’s route from the Vatnajokull ice cap to Skjálfandi Bay. This could take a couple of hours to reach, but it´s well worth the trip. Aldeyjarfoss is located in the valley of Bárðardalur, on the edge of the Icelandic highlands.

The best opion is take flight, because it takes to long time to go by ferry which only goes 3 times a week.
