BEST gelato! The lime is to die for :) Look for Waihi beach hotel and to the right of the restaurant is a little gelato shop. Lovely outdoor seating and play area.

Such a great name! Relaxed Japanese dining, tucked away off the main rd, Mt Maunganui. Great for a catch up with friends or take your sweetheart out.

A beautiful stretch of coast, lovely hike over to Orokawa bay (45mins each way-tidal). Surf break, can also get surf lessons, or hire a board. Typically a lot less crowded than Mt Maunganui beach.
