It has soccer fields, baseball fields, a pool, barbecuing areas, picnic tables, a large track for running/walking/biking, a golf course, hand ball courts, tennis courts, horses, and of course lots and lots of trails! They have trails on, and off the beaten path and at times the trails are quite scenic-you might forget you're in the Bronx

It’s no wonder that Untermeyer Park is a favorite for wedding photos. Its neoclassical style garden sculpture and fountains are like those seen in Middle Eastern pleasure gardens. The gardens themselves are walled and you almost can’t believe you are steps from busy North Broadway. Below the gardens are 43 acres of grassy park with steps and old ruins of the Greystone estate which the park is a remnant of. There are so many urban legends related to this space, it’s hard not to let the imagination wander. Excellent view of the Hudson River and the Palisade formations from the sculpture gardens. Come see the hidden beauty in Yonkers.

Untermyer Gardens

This is a great zoo. We loved the lemurs, gorillas, okapi, rhinos, bison, seals, etc. They do a great job of putting the animals in their natural habit as much as possible. Just a few tips - It was hot and we only saw one water fountain (outside the Congo exhibit) the whole day, so bring your water bottle. Although there is a tram that circles the area, there are only 3 stops where you can get on, so be prepared to do a lot of walking.

Bronx Zoo

Shopping
Cross County has some great stores for shopping! They have one of my all time favorite clothing stores, Zara. This is the only Zara location that I am aware of in Westchester. You can also find The Gap, Forever 21, H&M and Ulta to name a few other trendy and popular stores. If you're looking for a bite to eat there are a few options but the best would have to be Shake Shack! The only downside is it is an outdoor shopping center so it is not the best option for shopping on a rainy day and it can get very crowded.

Entertainment & Activities
from check in to check out, this really is a fun time. Plenty of parking, located outside a beautiful mall with great restaurants.We had an 11:30 am appointment and they were running about 1/2 hour behind. No problem as there is more than enough space to relax and watch other flyers. Vending machines for drinks and snacks. Clean bathrooms. Upbeat friendly staff. My only complaint is I paid for pictures that were not great. Bad shots and poor quality. Better pictures taken on my phone.
