Built by Obrenovic dynasty. After the assassination of King and Queen, Karađorđević dynasty took over. Kađorđević dynasty was not so happy with Old Palace, so the New Palace was built just across.

Built in 19 century as Parliament of Yugoslavia, today it is too small for 250 MP's of Serbia. Countries of this size normally have 120-140 MP's. Visits are possible, ask at Tourist Info office.

Number one sightseeing place. I recommend a long walk with visits to Military museum, Saint Petka's church and maybe the Zoo. If you get tired, you can take a brake at Kalemegdanska terasa restaurant.

Food Scene
This is one of the last "kafana" left from communist times. Food is good and simple, garden is great, and waiters never smile, which is actually the old way.
